  • Getting Sick While On Induction

Has anyone else gotten sick with a stomach virus while on induction before? How did you handle it? Besides broth, was there any induction friendly foods on the list you ate?

I'm just wondering, because I got sick today. Not induction flu-an actual virus we've been passing around our family. I drank broth, then ended up breaking down and eating carbs later, because just the IDEA of eating induction-friendly fare made my stomach churn worse than it already was.The good thing is, my stomach hurt so much, I didn't eat many carbs, anyway. But still-three days in and already NOT cheat free.

    Grrrr!!

I hope that you are feeling better now!

I guess this is a subject where you have some split decisions. I'm actually one of those that says do what you have to in order to get better. A stomach virus is no joke and you can't get better eating the fatty foods allowed in this WOE. It's better to go off-plan until you are better, but stick to healthy carbs such as whole grains if you decide to do the BRAT (Bananas, Rice, Apples and Toast) diet to get yourself back to normal.
