I'm no stranger to the WOL or the board. I'm a lifelong yo-yo and I'm back again. This time I've teamed up with my dad, who at his age really needs to get the weight off his joints. We made a pact to be dead on for at least a month starting today. Wish us luck!

Re: Here we go again
Good luck to you and your dad Scott! You can do it. We are all here to support each other. Keep us posted of how you are doing and just hollar for any additonal support. By the way, the journal really helps. I stared one on the journal chats as I like the feedback and it encourages me. You and your dad may want to think about keeping one too. Have a nice day!Courage doesn't always roar. Sometimes courage is the little voice at the end of the day that says...I'll try again tommorrow.

Re: Here we go again
Hey Scott,
Definitely the best of luck to you and your dad. I, too am a yoyo atkins dieter. I was on this religiously throughout 2007 and lost from Jan - Aug 60lbs!! Then the holidays came around and it just went down hill. It took me the remaining 2007 and the whole year of 2008 to gain back 30lbs.
So here I am again, trying to get back on for 2009!! I need to lose at least 80lbs.
Good for you to have your dad aboard. I can't tell you how many times I try to get my mother and/or grandmother to do this but they are stuck in their ways.
Good luck and happy new year, may this be your incredible year for great changes

Re: Here we go again
Hey Scott, good luck to you and your Dad. It's always good to have a partner joining you in your weight loss program. My DH only has around 20 lbs to lose, but he is joining me again this, like he did last time. Of course not as strict as me, but nevertheless, very supportive. Keep us up to date on how you're both doing.

Re: Here we go again
Welcome back!
That's great that you have your father, and he has you, to support one another through this WOE. It's easier to stay on plan when you have someone there to go through the motions with you.
I wish you both the best of luck and make sure to stop by often for support and positive reinforcement!

Re: Here we go again
Hey Scott! Good luck to you and your Dad! I have found that this WOE is the best for me. I started back on January 1, and have already lost 6 pounds. I don't think I am losing as fast as the first time, but I'm still happy with the way it is coming off! Keep on posting so we can keep up with you!
