    Good monday morning STACers.
    You know this is gonna be a good week. We are all firmly aware of what we need to do and I know everybody is getting themselves well on their way to a great induction.
    Induction is a time, where we feel the most excitement and pain. Our bodies go about the business of fiipping a switch from carb burning to fat burning metabolism. It hurts to do this and there is detox.

    Tylenol or Advil and alot of water help during these times. Extra sleep is important too. Keeping the house stocked with appropriate foods make the transition easier.

    If you are really an inactive person, I would personally wait to begin an exercise program until after induction, but I would begin to walk more. I could not do everything all at once. Each week I focused on a new facet of the program, such as all the water, or vitamins, or exercise. I kept things fun and organized.

    I also paid close attention to the benefits I was getting back from investing my self into this way of eating. I had energy, confidence, and smooth emotions. Something I could not purchase in a pill form.

    Good luck to you. You can do this, but YOU HAVE TO DO IT.....

    Here! And on my 5th day of induction. I will strive not to get on that scale today....
    Courage doesn't always roar. Sometimes courage is the little voice at the end of the day that says...I'll try again tommorrow.

      Morning all! Still hanging in here. Veered a little off track on New Years Eve, but right back on now. I'm really enjoying the way that I am feeling now, more energy, no after meal slumps. I tried a new recipe last night, and it was really good. I made extra, so will take it to work with me for lunch today. I am trying several new recipes right now, I think that is a key to being successfull on this way of eating. Variety, that's a key.

        OutbackJess - Awesome post to start the day! I'm totally on the same level mentally as you today.

        Now that I've cranked out the first few days of induction, and I'm feeling awesome, I'm ready to flush my house of needless carbs still laying around and map out an exercise program to begin next week...

          Hi all! I'm still on plan so don't really need to go back to induction. I'm on pre-maintenance and losing verrry slowly but still losing.

          Good luck to all you starting induction. It's just 14 days and we know you can do it. And have a great day to everyone!

              Hi All

              I have been back on plan since 27 Dec (came off for three days) and still have 2.5 pounds of gained weight to lose.

              I have been to the gym this morning and collected the kids on foot from nursery so have had a good amount of exercise today.

              I am drinking more water and taking my pills and waiting for the magic weight loss to happen 'cause I know it will.

                hi hi, still here. something is making me retain water though. which is so frustrating, as my loss is going really slowly this time around. that is the one good thing about being at work: drinking more than enough water is so easy.

                ah well. hope everyone has a great day.

                  Day 5 for me, since my return, and I must say that I am finding this rather easy, to my disbelief. I think something in my head just clicked, and that's keeping me on track. Can't wait till weigh-in day Thursday.

                    Great post Jess. I have missed your wisdom. Being here is like being home.

                    I made it through 2 days. I did promise my daughter that I would go to the gym with her since hubby is out of town. I will not over do it. Probably just some treadmill and maybe some swiming or just swiming and sauna. I will see how it feels. It is very cold (-30'F) here and has been for a week. The sauna sounds great.

                    I started my vitamins last week because I wanted to have my system not be depleted when I started this on Saturday. I have managed to get all my water in each day. I am suffering a little with induction flue and having cravings late at night for crap food.

                      Hi everyone! I'm here and sticking to the plan!

                      It decided to snow during the early hours of the morning today and it's been snowing most of the day. Luckily there are only about 2 to 3 inches of it and not a whole lot. I had to skip my work out today because we all woke up a bit later than usual (my baby girl decided to wake up and play in the middle of the night) and clearing my car of the snow would have taken up so much time that I would miss childcare hours at my gym anyway. I'm hoping that everything goes as planned for me to work out on Wednesday!

                        Alright I am starting induction again. I have gained 10 pounds back over this Holiday season. I have not started exercising again but plan on doing so soon. I just can't seem to get motivated.

                          Hi everybody! I am in today also, have already been to the gym, drinking my water, and just had a great salad for lunch. making plans for supper and when I have that completed I plan on running errands during that time in the afternoon where I want to eat garbage.............around 3 ish..............I am hoping by keeping busy I can stay out of harms way!!

                              hello everyone, day one over almost for me... about to eat bacon and cabbage sauteed in butter for dinner...

                              sending fiance out to the store to get mini cheeses, pork rinds, sliced meats (not processed) and other nibbly bits for me!
