  • Rollcall Friday 1-9-9

    Happy Friday everyone!

    I'm up early today, I have to go into work at 7:30am. So, I've been up since 5:30... Feeling good about it though There's something about getting up early and getting more hours into my day and jumpstarting the day off... it just feels good.

    Well, I'm off to work!

    I hope everyone has awesome Friday weigh-ins!! Keep on keepin on!!!

    Happy Friday everyone! Us New Year Newbies are now past the dreaded first week (always the toughest). My cravings have diminished and I'm getting into the habit of what I can and cannot eat to stay on plan.

    I enjoyed a wonderful walk in the snow last night. My goal for Week 2 is to walk every night (unless it's stormy, then I'll do stairs), and make sure I drink enough water.

      Morning all!

      I'm new, I'm happy and I'm so excited about AD and the ADBB! Who would have thought I could lose 10 lbs in 9 days AND not be hungry! Oh and the energy? I'm not tired until 2 hours past my usual bedtime. I'm gaining daily life! Simply amazing!!

        Hello everyone, and congrats tlb and Ann Louise on your weight loss so far. I'm planning to work outside with the horses all day today so my little pedometer will be off the charts!! My two weeks induction is officially over today, lost 6.5 pounds but going to stay with the induction or close to it for about a month.

          Good morning all! It's Friday, last day of work yippeee! We're heading out to Banff for the weekend with b-i-l and s-i-l. My friend is giving us the use of his house out in the mountains. Bringing with most of our meals, except for dinner, we'll eat out. We'll probably do lots of walking as a form of excercise for the weekend for me, then off to the hot springs. Nothing like being in bath water, out in the snow and minus degree weather. It's an awesome feeling. Have a great weekend everyone!

            Good morning all,
            I think my weight loss is finally slowing down. It seems like I'm only dropping a pound every other day or every third day now. I am on day day 22 and have lost 22 pounds to date. I had a cheat day in there on day 13 that was pretty disasterous. If you count the 7 pounds I put back on that day, I have actually lost 29, because some of those pounds I had to lose twice. I plan on staying in induction for another two weeks or so. I am still feeling great, so why change anything? I acutally like induction because I am a serious carnivore. I just wish I could have a glass of milk. The no smoking thing is going well too. The last few days have been a bit hectic with cravings, but I am now 8 days smoke free. Keep it up everyone!

              Good Morning..
              Day 5 here for me and still going strong. I am not going to weigh myself until Monday (that will be a week) I hope everyone has a "cheat free" weekend.. We are having a party on Saturday where diet coke and bacardi will be served.. I am going to stick to water. (Hopefully)

                Hi Everyone

                I have started getting up earlier and have found life so much more relaxing as I am more organised getting up before the kids.

                Well done on all the pounds lost guys - awsome!

                My weight is on the downward trend again - I have lost half a pound a day for the last three days. I am still up one pound on my pre-Christmas weight but think that will shift in the next week which will be good.

                  Good Morning STAC'ers

                  Happy Friday. I had a great day yesterday. But by evenining was feeling really tired. I slept like a log last night but awoke feeling really tired as well. This has been my first week of getting up at 6 am since my surgery. Since Hubby is out of town I have been driving my daughter to the bus becasue it has been unusually cold. Today was relatively warm only -12'F. A storm is suppose to move in and hopefully we will get to the teens/twenty's.

                  I have had an incredible busy week, but I had lost 7# on my last weighin Wednesday. I still have another week of induction left. I know I shouldn't get on the scales but I can't help myself. I will probably move on to rung 2 and then rung 3 and stay there for awhile or at least until I get the gym time incorporated and have made it to the under 200 land mark.

                  My husband comes home tonight. I was thankful for the break, but I am glad he's coming home. I will be preparing low carb dishes but he will insist upon fried potatoes every once in awhile as well as bread. He did low carb with me the first time about 8-9 years ago and he lost 25# in a few weeks. He felt great, but he will not do it in the winter. He says he needs the extra carbs during the winter- working outside in Alaska can be exhausting to say the least.

                  Anyway- I have to meet a possible future co-worker today and then I am hoping to come home and get some house work done.

                    Hi guys! It sounds like everyone is doing pretty well and that's nice to hear. I'm doing good too, except maybe eating oranges too often ( 2 yesterday and today). I'm allowed some since i'm on premaintenance but not that many!

                    It looks like we might be snowed in for a couple of days so I'm glad I stocked the kitchen with allowable foods on Wednesday!

                          Good evening everyone (its 6:30 here in Austria)!

                          I am still doing ok. I stayed on track all day. I don't see huge results at all yet but I have hope. I have decided I am not weighing myself until after the two weeks of induction are over (although I think I will go longer). I am dreading next week though because I am going on another business trip. those business trips are really the hardest especiallly because our menus are usually already set. I am nervouse about it!

                            Good luck with the trip! Quite a challange, especially when all your wonderful (fattening) meals are probably already paid for by your company. Try to concentrate on that 2 week weigh in! Nothing tastes as good as how good you feel when you drop a couple of pounds!!

                              Hi everyone

                              I'm doing well with the AD plan - it fits in so well with the way we live, which is perfect. I find it particularly easy to follow when I'm at work because, I find, routine is key... and there's nothing more routine then going to work 5 days a week! But now we're at the weekend! My cupboards and fridge are prepared - and I'm confident that I'll make it to Monday and my daily routine again.

                              I'm feeling a little sorry for myself, though... yesterday, on my way home from work, I slipped on some ice and fell. I'm okay, but I'm stiff and a little sore... especially my back. I'm at work right now but just want to be home sleeping. I have an important task to finish here and then I think I'll head home and pamper myself!

                              I have some left-over steak for lunch (that I'll have with a small salad from the cafe downstairs) and I have a fresh bottle of water on my desk... it's all good here!
