  • TGIF Roll Call~~~1/16/09

    TGIF!! Hope you all have a wonderful low carb day! Be good to yourself~~eat well, drink plenty of H20 & get some exercise.

    For those of you experiencing the freezing weather please stay warm & bundle up if you have to go out. I have -27* this AM. BRRRRRRR

    This is day 2 for me and I'm just checking in. Feel GREAT as I got to see the scale move quite a bit. I'm guessing water weight or something. Maybe it's just God encouraging me and telling me I'm making the right choice! Well, everyone have a good day! Keep with it.

      Good morning all, I wish you all a Blessed LC Friday! I am trying so hard to get my water up. I work at a very fast paced busy pharmacy and even though the water bottle is right next to me, I can't stop to drink it LOL. I have to make myself!!!

        Day 5 and feeling good! Looking forward to freezing when I leave the house, but I guess -16* is nothing compared to the -25*. Zoiks!

          Morning all! Hope you all stay warm and safe in those negative freezing temperatures. Feeling much better today, but I guess I'm retaining fluid due to being sick. I will up my water today to try to get rid of it. Hope everyone has a great low carb day!

            I'm here, no more school until Tuesday!!! No homework!!

            I have 12 hours away from home on Tuesdays and Thursdays (attending college 70 miles away from home and commute) but so far am having no trouble staying on plan and am saving money on lunches as well.

            For lunch I am taking a salad with cheese and some sort of meat on it, for snacks pork rinds or a few deviled eggs. I haven't weighed for a few days but feel "thinner", jeans are getting baggy and I feel great!!

              It's Friday!!! And a few hours from now, after a day of work, it'll be the weekend!

                Good Friday morning all! Yes, it's the last day of the week, and tomorrow I can sleep in. It's starting to warm up a lot here. Temperature today will be around 50*, and believe it or not, by Sunday its suppose to get up to the late 60's. We're getting some Chinook winds (warm winds from the Rockies unique to just a couple of places in the world, and Calgary is one of them).These winds, drastically change the temperatures. With all the snow we've had, there'll be lots of flooding for sure, and lots of slush! Oh well, take the good and the bad. Hope the warm air lasts for awhile! Have a good weekend all!

                  Good Morning STAC'ers.

                  I have another busy day. Schools are closed again due to icy roads. It is 49'F here and windy but we have a lot of ice built up on side roads.

                  Induction is over tomorrow! Yeah! This was the easiest by far. I think the reason is I no longer drink coffee regularly. I also didn't tend to go over on the hvy cream or cheeses this time.

                  I will move up to the dairy rung and continue trying to get all of my daily allowed veg for the next week or so. I have only seen the scale move down 1 this week so I am hoping for a woosh tomorrow on my offical 15th day.

                    With all your cold temps I am glad I live in PHX where our high will be 75* However, in the summer we are melting in 120* plus! Guess its a trade off. Hopefully by the time those temps arrive I am small enough not to care about being barely dressed! Day 14 for me! Scale hasnt really moved this week, but I took a quick peek of my measurements and checked my waist and I was an inch smaller! Cant wait for my formal weigh in on Sun AM and my overall measurements. Have a great weekend everyone!

                      Hi everyone! Wow! I'm checking in earlier than usual today! Things are going great... I'm staying on track and have been able to control cravings. I just need to remember to drink my water! I have my 3 liters set out every day, but I need to get in my water during the day and not shortly before bedtime! That would definitely minimize the night wakings to visit the potty! lol

                      My baby girl is teething again and has been waking up at nights so I'm a bit sleep-deprived through the day.

                      I hope everyone is doing great and staying on track!

                          Checking in for another fun filled day. I think I'll make it a short work day today, I've done enough. I project that Tuesday I will be wearing my smaller uniforms. My fat uniforms are getting a bit baggy.

                            Hello, all! I'm checking in a bit late today. It's a teacher work day and I've been busy with report cards. Fun.

                            I'm retaining water. Not really sure why as I've been drinking my water. I do have a sneaking suspicion, too, that I've got the yeastie beasties. Ugh. May need to cut back on cheese.

                            It's definitely cold here (wind chill of about 1 this morning) but no where near 25 below. God Bless you guys up there! This weather is crazy!

                              I'm here. I'm kind of late today... I had to open at work today so I woke up and went straight to work.

                              I'm getting kind of discouraged because I'm not losing as quickly as I felt like I lost last time, but I guess that's to be expected.

                              I'm thinking I'm going to try to eat 5 times a day instead of three times. I don't eat big meals to begin with though, so breaking three meals into 5 is going to be interesting...

                              Oh well. I'm dedicated to this WOE, and my dedication will persevere.
