  • Musts

    I must weigh myself. I don't do it hourly or daily but I need to weigh once a week. I appreciate people who've gotten away from the scale but it's really a motivator for me. Knowing that "weigh day" is just around the corner has kept me on the straight and narrow before and it'll work again.

    I must follow Atkins by the book. That means no sugar free crap, no frankenfoods, no nuts during induction, no extra cheese, no peanut butter. These things cause cravings and I consume more carbs than I should

    I must exercise. What else is there to say to this?

    I must not make excuses. "Just this once" doesn't cut it.

    I must use ketostix. Ok, well, this really isn't a "must" but they sure are motivating for me. I have been known many times to pass up a cheat so I don't throw myself out of PURPLE.

    I must use a food journal. Whether it's online or on paper, I need to write down what I eat.

    Tomorrow is a brand new day.

    Kelly, I love those! Thanks for writing these musts. They are also musts for me.

    I'll add that I also must stop thinking that one taste testing bite of bad food is acceptable!

      Hey Kelly, it looks like a great way to build a firm FOUNDATION. I have a list of "musts" too, and they really really help me. Knowledge is power, and knowing what you MUST do is important

        I must drink at least 100 ounces of water per day. That's not a lot. It's five 20 ounce bottles of water. (I just fill them up with tap water.) Water flushes me, hydrates me, and makes me feel full.

            I'm trying to figure out how to word this but

            I must have a goal/something to look forward to...

            The past couple of days I've been reconnecting with some friends from high school--20 years ago--and we've decided to go off for a weekend this summer.

            I can visualize what I want to look like and I think it's attainable.

                    I love the musts...my musts are to live by the rules, and keep coming here and reading, oh and to use fitday...everyday!
