  • coming back tomorrow...

I haven't been here in a long time, but I will be back tomorrow. It has been two years since I have been with the atkins way of life. It has taken me six months to decide to do this again, but here I am.

This time, I am doing things a little bit differently. I am going to go through the rungs more quickly. Induction is only going to last 14 days so that I can learn how to live the lifestyle appropriately.

Last time, I reached goal so quickly that I was unprepared for maintenance. This time, I will be ready. I am so excited.

I remember many of you as I have lived on this web-site in the past!!
    149.8/no weigh/ 119

what the rungs mean to me:

rung 3 - seeds, nuts (mostly sprinkled on salads)
    rung 4 - berries, melon
    rung 5 - wine -
    rung 6 - beans, hummus
    rung 7 - other fruits
rung 8 - carrots/ potatoes (nah, prolly not)
rung 9 - whole grains (fresh Dutch breads...)
    Major Goal - 128 lbs/ healthy range
    (on to pre-maintenance)

    Re: coming back tomorrow...

Welcome back, Shannon. It is exciting to commit to this WOE again. We all know it works because it's worked for us in the past. We know what to do, we just need help and motivation doing it. You'll get that here. Good Luck and let us know how you're doing.

              Re: coming back tomorrow...

Hey girl, come on back and work your plan. I know what you mean about Maint. It is one tough place and not easily managed. People think Atkins is hard on induction but truly the real life changes are with the last 2 phases....Nothing is easy, but with this great community at least there is alot of support and understanding.
