    Wow, everyone must be sleeping in today, did I miss a memo? I have duty this week so I can't go work out in the mornings. Gonna have to take the kids on a walk after work. I did my new pizza recipe last night and posted it in the recipe section. It was awesome... 11g carbs for the whole thing. I could have gone down to 10 if I didn't use provolone cheese. Actually I probably could have gone down to 9 and not topped it with cheese since the crust is made of cheese, but I wanted the look of the real thing. Anyway, no weight loss to report this morning, but you can't be a loser every day.

    Happy Monday!! Okay, maybe that was a littler too chipper for Monday morning, especially with this nasty weather, but I thought I would try anyway. I'm down 2 more pounds, and a whole lot more to go. I'm trying to think of some good legal food for the Superbowl party. I'm thinking hotwings, just not sure what else. Have a great day!

      Hot Wings sounds great. I haven't had those in awhile. We have been having bad weather, too. Today, though, I saw the sun peek through just a little bit!

      rung 1 - more veggies
      rung 2 - dairy (some milk in coffee)
      rung 3 - seeds, nuts (mostly sprinkled on salads)
      rung 4 - berries, melon
      rung 5 - wine -
      rung 6 - beans, hummus
      rung 7 - other fruits
      rung 8 - carrots/ potatoes (nah, prolly not)
      rung 9 - whole grains (fresh Dutch breads...)
      Major Goal - 128 lbs/ healthy range
      (on to pre-maintenance)

        Today is my Tuesday.. Sunday is my Monday. Day ten of induction.. smooth sailing so far. Saturday or a doctor visit will be the first weight check. maybe this Saturday if no doctor.. but we'll see what happens.
        Starting weight: 310 Current weight: 292 Goal weight: 220

          TOM ARRIVED, (so I'm praying this is why my scale has been going so slow)... Well fresh attitude and motivation for my week 4.

          So far lost

          3" waist
          2" hips
          1" thigh
          1" upper arm
          0.5" chest

          and 7lbs loss

            Happy Monday morning all! Quick check-in. Great day ahead, just got to remember to drink more water. Can't seem to get it all in for some reason the last couple of weeks, and I carry my bottled water everywhere! Guess I'll just have to start earlier in the morning!

                Try Danish meatballs. I posted it here and in the recipe section before. I modified the recipe so its totally atkins friendly and induction friendly too. can also do ham and cheese wraps and then put a tooth pick in the middle. The fried chicken with Parmasean cheese...Ok all I can think of at this moment. It is Monday after all....

                  Oh guess I should have checked in first!

                  Well guys I am here. I finally made it to the doctor's office and sure enough I have strep throat! I should have gone earlier. Doctor says about another 4 days before I feel better... sniffles...

                  But apart from that still very much on track and starting to notice a weight loss. I am lingering around 76.4 to 76.8 kilos(168.08 to 168.96 lbs) for two days now! Which means I have entered the 76's for sure. I will wait until its at 76 even and stable for a couple of days to change my tickler. I know its not much weight loss for induction and almost one month in but what the heck, I'll take what I can get at this point. I promised myself yesterday that I would have a better attitude and NOT give up (just yet anyway)...

                    Morning Everyone

                    I had a tough weekend
                    I stayed on plan (although my carb intake was too low)... but each day this weekend I suffered from a pounding headache (hormone related - darned hormones! "It's not a tumor!" [to be read in the voice of Arnold Schw.]). At times I found myself thinking about the muffins sitting in the kitchen, but mostly I just felt so crummy that I all I wanted to do was sleep. I kept to plan by eating mostly meats and fatty things (with the occasional crispy kosher dill pickle - yummy!). For example, I made this wicked cream-cheese spread for my pork chops that really filled me up and took away those few cravings I had

                    Anyway... feeling somewhat better today, but not 100%
                    And I've been a good girl and come in to work

                    Hang in there everyone!
                    We can't always feel physically great - and when we don't, we'll feel emotionally so much better if we stay on plan!!

                      Happy Monday everyone! I am doing great! FINALLY started to lose again (well weight that is, my measurements have been going down every week). Lost 2 more lbs for a total of 9lbs and 12 inches in 3 weeks of Induction. Moving on to Week 4. Once I make it to 175 I plan on moving into OWL. So, 9 more lbs (and prob another month) and I get more veggies! I posted the following message in the Super Bowl thread, but thought I would share to give my fellow STACs some ideas.

                      Wings wings and more wings! Also, since I am a Card's fan I got to test run this last week when we won the championship game. I had a veggie and cheese tray with flavored cream cheeses (yes, you have to rememeber to watch the cheese), WINGS, deviled eggs, and of course carne asada, but simply replaced the tortillas with lettuce and made a "wrap" instead of a taco, with salsa, sour cream, and anything Atkins legal.....YUM! We shall have a repeat this week! I will admit I missed being able to drink all the beer with my football, but a Captin and Diet helped out with that ( I know, I know....). GO CARDS!!!

                        Good Morning STAC'ers. Happy Monday.

                        I think I am going to have to go see my MD. I am having TOM for the 3rd time this month and I am on the pill. I usually don't have anything at all. It wouldn't be so bad except I get terrible cramps in my low back (always have).

                        This week is pretty busy. I have a School Association food show that I will be preparing for and my Hubby is still out of town.

                        Last night I had to litterally dog through my fridge to figure out something to eat. I will be forcing myself to the market today. I ended up with cabbage, ground beef, taco seasoning and cheese. I made the taco skillet from Lindas site. My daughter was given half the taco meat before I ruined it . It was actually not bad. I was worried that I would miss the crunch of a taco shell but I didn't. I never would have paired cabbage with tacos unless they were fish tacos. Anyway don't be afraid to try it.

                        I am down another 1# today Yeah

                        Vickie- It sounds like you could use some migraine medication. I feel for you. I was diagnosed with migraine from hormones so my MD put me on the low dose bc and it stopped my migraine (I have had 1-2 in 2 years). My sister had the same thing finally went on Topomax (she lost about 30#) and got her headaches/migraines under control.

                        AOT- feel better .

                            Hi everyone,

                            It's rainy, gray and cold here today, but cozy inside.

                            I did 10 minutes on the exercise bike this morning. Will do another 10 this evening... and will work up to more time each session as I can.

                            I PROMISE not to step on the scale again today! It looks like I'm losing about 0.2 pounds per day and seeing those little losses is depressing. So no more weighing till Saturday morning!

                            I wrapped my scrambled eggs in a sushi nori sheet this morning... trying to incorporate more thyroid stimulating foods in my diet. I read that nori has 1 gram carbs and 1 gram fiber, for a net carb rating of 0. Also switched to coconut oil and am switching to sea salt.

                            The egg "sushi" didn't taste all that wonderful, but it sure was fun!

                              hello all!

                              I'm feeling really sick to my stomach today, and here I am, at work! I'll be heading out for some ginger tea in about 15 minutes.

                              I went for a decent skate last night. I'm feeling much more confident about skating with the league, though my knees and lower back ached from it afterwards. stupid injuries...why can't they just heal and not leave remnants??

                              I made the cauliflower pizza crust last night, and it is amazing! SO good. and no, that's not why I feel ill today, hahaha!

                              Vickie, I get migraines too. I'm sure the weather trying to shift isn't helping matters.
