  • Roll Call 2-2-09

    Time flies when you are having fun! Just came in from a hard workout. Sustaining the things in my life that really make me feel good. I had to get up at 4:30 to get this one done. It was worth it, NOW. It was hard to get going, but now I reap the benefits of feeling powerful!

    Today pay attention to what empowers you and was defeats you. Food choices and staying on your plans can increase or decrease your confidence. Most of us have lost confidence in ourselves because we have such trouble following through with our choices. Addiction makes this journey a really really difficult one for us. We start out the day strong and then crumble, dust ourselves off, push away bad feelings and try again.
    KEEP TRYING, KEEP WORKING IT. KEEP SEEKING TO BELIEVE IN YOURSELF.
    #1 Do something to day that would make you really proud of yourself.
    #2 Do it again tomorrow
    #3 Try to do it every day this week, and see if that doesn't cause you to gain a little confidence and restore a little trust in yourself...

    Great post. Today, I'm just not really into or excited about anything. Not going to run in and stuff my face with cookies or anything. I don't really want to eat at all.. ill have a bit of something here in a few minutes.. just not really into it today.

      I love Groundhog's Day. I always find time to celebrate today. It's one of the few non-Hallmark holidays that you can just celebrate to celebrate without being obligated to buy cards/gifts. I plan on doing something special with the family because I want to, not because it's expected.

      I survived Chuck E. Cheese yesterday. I had some of the worst wings ever there, and 60 oz of water. I did have the cheese and toppings from a small slice of pizza. After that I went home and ate way too much legal food. I had wings and some of the buffalo chicken dip from the appetizer forum. It was really good.

      I went shopping yesterday for some smaller pants. I was thinking 36's, but they didn't fit. I had to buy 34's. Yea me!

        I'm here!!! The scale finally moved and I met mini goal number two!

        I've lost eleven pounds in just over a month. Eleven pounds is roughly the equivalent of carrying a full gallon of milk in one hand and a half gallon in the other around with you all day.

        This works folks, stick with it!!!

          I'm here. I gained almost two pounds since yesterday, but I'm thinking it's because of all the water I drank...

          I'm not upset about it though... I woke up much better than I have in over a week. I think water was exactly what I needed.

          I'm off to go grocery shopping and make meals ahead of time for the week!

            Good morning all. Weekend was great, stayed on plan inspite of temptations. Did some trying on of clothes for the cruise. Happy to say that they are fitting alot better, and I have gone down to a size 16 in most of them.....yippeeee, and stil another 25 days to go before we leave, so maybe another 6-8 lbs off. Will continue to increase workouts as well. Have a great Monday everyone!

              I'm BAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAACK!!! Well, I have now managed to be at my highest adult weight ever...And just found out my thyroid is slow, so , although that is not an excuse, it is a relief...It's not just in my head. I am back as of this morning!

                I'm here too Just got back from my annual physical and I was happy to see the scale had moved quite a bit since my last visit there. Official weigh in tomorrow morning, I know I'm down (as of this morning) 9.5lbs already for week one.

                    I just re-started coconut oil yesterday morning. the last jar I'd bought was kind of...well, off. ugh! I wasn't sure if it was just me getting sick of it or what. a new brand, and I'm back at it.

                      Happy Monday STACrs!! So, I finished my first month on Atkins! 10lbs and 15 inches have officially left the building!!! YEAH! Here's to another month of being a BIG LOSER!

                        I am going to keep it in mind today. I have so much to do it is over-whelming. But if I keep it simple & stay focused and do 1 thing well and try to repeat it tomorrow I will feel good about myself.

                        Great news about your new pants TJ. That must have been one of those wow moments Congrats!

                          I continue to do well on plan and I'm sooooo HAPPY about it!!
                          I'm especially happy when I see the scale move - and today it was reading 217.8 (down from 219 on Saturday). I'm reading it as 218, but excited about the "7" in the number

                          Jess... I've already done something I'm proud of (work related) and I plan on continuing with it every day. And you know what? I'm really proud of myself, too... I'm proud of my enthusiasm to live life and continue with this WOE/L!!

                          TJ... congrats on the smaller pants! I'm not down a pant size yet, but I have to use a belt to hold up the pants I wear!!

                          Julie... look at our stats... we're neck-and-neck!
                          Want to have a friendly contest to see who can get to their #1 mini-goal first?! It's only 3 pounds away!!
