    The scale moved

    And, two pounds to boot!

    So, that was a great way to start the day!

    I'm off to do some laundry, and then go to work!

      Congratulations on the scale moving. I lost 10lbs in the 1st 5 days of induction and the scale has stopped moving for the last 6. Oh well, I know they are stalls with this diet and that is expected. After induction I'm going to a once a week weigh in. I was on the diet last year and had a two week stall and then the pounds started dropping fast. Hopefully it won't take that long again.

      Ready to jump on the treadmill now for interval training now. Good luck in your diet and exercise today.

          I don't worry about the scales at all.. i just eat the way that I must and then and if I'm near a scale or must weight for something, then I step on the scales. i do not want add the stress of what is happening to the mix, just trust the WOE and worry about the things in life that we are supposed to worry about. While this change in life is 100% mine, it should not change everything in my life.

            Good morning all! Fozzy, I agree with you about the scales! They could be dangerous, if your obsessed with it. If you're clothes are getting looser, and you're inches are coming off, and you're feeling good, that's what it's all about. So as long as we're staying on plan & excercising, the rest will come.               Good Morning All, and happy Grey's Anatomy Day! New episode tonight. No scale movement for me, but the clothes are getting looser. I had chimichangas for dinner last night and they were pretty good. Have a great day and drink your water.

                Good morning. Great quote to start the day Glenda. Staying positive is a must, and I will remain positive today, that I will continue on this healthy, life-changing path that I have set out on. Drinking water like a mad woman again today, it really does help me.

                    Well after a dissapointing fall off the wagon over the holidays which started with a little something here, a little something there....led me to ....you guessed it....a complete carb fest daily, I have decided I am not going to have the "oh well I give up" attitude but instead pick myself off and begin again because after all when you give up is when really lose out.

                      I have to update my previous post. I had my weigh in today for the biggest loser competition at work. After my first week on induction I have dropped 11.5 pounds (14.5 if you count my initial 3 pound gain when I started)!!! Currently in the lead for total weight lost with about 3.6% of me missing since last week. I've NEVER had success like this. I look forward to updating next Thursday!

                        Finally a day off! Yeah for me! Busy catching up around the house but wanted to check in as haven't for a day or two. Lost 2 lbs this week even with TOM. Couldn't be happier!

                          Fantastic!!
                          Now... a caution: I do NOT intend to deflate your happiness, but please please remember - and don't be discouraged by the fact that - your weight loss will slow down considerably AND that from weeks 3 to 5 you'll very likely hover at the same weight or only experience a few pounds lost (I only lost 2lbs through a 2.5 week period). This is normal. I only mention this because I DON'T want you to loose any of the wonderful enthusiasm you're experiencing and sharing with us now - just stay positive and stay the course because when you make it through this particular (and predictable) plateau you'll be happily loosing again!
                          You will continue to see terrific success, just at a different pace.

                          Okay... now for me to check in
                          I was MIA yesterday - but all is good.
                          I had another great, cheat-free day yesterday... but it was busy. I'm working at starting my own interior remodeling/decorating company and I was meeting with a client and my painter... I was at my "real" job in the morning, rushing to clear my desk, then playing hooky(!) during the afternoon with my dream job! Then, in the evening, I was working on my blog. So... no time to check in.

                          Today is starting out to be a good day, too.
                          I'm a daily weigher... and I don't get stressed by this because I graph my weights and can watch the downward trend... this is really motivating for me! For example, during weeks 3-5 I only lost 2 pounds (like I said above)... if I hadn't been graphing and actually seeing the little dots move down (in fact, a few days they actually went up!), I might have been discouraged. The overall downward trend kept me reassured. I'm not suggesting this method for everyone... it just works for me.
                          ANYWAY... today - are you reading TJ - I'm down to 217
                          Who knows... the scale might be mean and say 218 tomorrow morning, but I KNOW it'll be back to 217 again... and then next thing you now it'll say 216

                          I'm a happy loser!!

                          Now... I need to be sure to drink all my water because that's the one area I'm letting myself down on!

                            Happy Thursday STAC'ers

                            My morning started out bad. Ugg! My daughter calls from the bus stop at 7:09 (they get picked up at 6:50)and tells my husband she is coming home the bus was late. Her BF lives 2 houses over. I call the school and tell them the bus is over 20 minutes late. It was 7' out so it is hard on the kids..... They should have waited the bus was only a few more minutes. So I had to drive my daughter to school. My car was ice cold and I hadn't even had a cup of tea yet I stopped at the neighbors house to pick up Katie (BF of daughter) and she has changed into her pj's and was planning on staying home! Her parents are at work and I know they would not be cool with it. So she was a complete B---- to me all the way to school. I have treated this kid like she was my own and I can't believe she is behaving this way to me

                            So now I am crabby and I hate it. I will take a shower and play wii shortly and hopefully I will be able to turn that frown upside down

                            I have a Dr appt today- lovely yearly exam. The good news is that I have been taking some advil and my knee feels a lot better. Hopefully my MD can give me a new prescription for Relefin or Celebrex. I am switching from YAZ to the once every three month shot for birth control. I suppose I will have to get all my blood work done. I didn't get it done last year due to all of my back problems.

                              Thanks, TangoTori...I expect that things will slow down, but to lose over 10% of my goal weight in one week felt good. I plan to stay the course.
