      Happy thursday everyone! Im glad to see everyone is doing well. I finally got on the scale today and im down 2lbs...woohoo! I was really afraid to weigh myself after i hit 199-198, i didnt want even the slightest bit of water weight or anything bring me back to 200lbs, i just never want to see that number again!
      Last night i dug out some old jeans, that i havent been able to wear in 4 years and they actually fit...THEY FIT!!!!! huge accomplishment! ok im off to get some water and work out! have a good day everyone!!!

        Hello all. Congrats to everyone for staying committed to this WOE. I lost the 2 lbs I gained during my Carb Fest last week -- good bye and don't come back! Bella, isn't that a great feeling to get back into those smaller jeans?! Have a good night.

          Vickie, ya know I'm reading. I'm waiting everyday to see when you and Julie pass 217. The next sticky weight is 209. Everlosing and I have been stuck there for a week. The good news is that the new pants I bought last week are already getting loose. Haven't lost an ounce, but the inches seem to be melting away.

          I had my lipids tested yesterday to compare with my pre Atkins numbers. My total cholesterol dropped from 188 to 137, triglycerides from 149 to 71, LDL from 117.2 to 93.8. My HDL was also down, from 41 to 29, but the not smoking thing I was doing didn't work so good and I don't get enough vegetables. My doctor wasn't overly concerned since my total cholesterol was so low. She is very anti-Atkins, but she is very intrigued now that she has seen my results. She's also a vegetarian with a higher LDL and total cholesterol than me. My VLDL also dropped from 29.8 to 14.2, so everything that Dr. A promised has been delivered, at least in my case.

            I hear ya, TJ... but I'm refusing to believe that I'll have any sticky spots!! Okay, 200 is a tough one!! But I'm predicting 215 by this time next week Fingers crossed my prediction comes true!

            You know... the other night on Biggest Looser, Jillian made a comment that really irked me... she basically said that it's a copp-out to say you're loosing inches and not pounds. I mean - what a stupid statement, and coming from a woman who is supposed to know about sculpting a body!! Everyone on this forum knows full well that inches are dropping... and that they sometimes don't show on the scale. I wanted to slap her!

              Hello!

              Lots of new faces around here since I was last on. I have been off Atkins for awhile. I keep playing around, going back and forth and all it got me was some more weight gain. 3 days ago I started induction and things are going great. I feel like it is time to rejoin the board again and reconnect. Right now I am taking this one day at a time, sometimes one hour, or one minute at a time. I know I need to lose 30 pounds right now for my own health and well being. I have high blood pressure and there is diabetes in my family. I am at the age now where I need to stop messing around and start watching what I eat and keeping the weight off. So this is a lifestyle change, not a diet.

              Goal 1: Clean Induction
              Goal 2: Break the 150's
              Get off High Blood Pressure Medication

                Bingo, we are on the same plan! I buried my father in December and that was a real wake up for me. I needed a lifestyle change. Unlike other times when I abused the Atkins plan to crash diet 20-30 pounds in a month, I have now been doing this since mid December correctly and it just feels right. This is the best I've felt in 20 years. Welcome back Deb!
