    Judy, you beat me this morning. I guess great minds think alike. I deleted my thread.

    No losses to report today. I had a good day yesterday of legal foods. I made Linda's Low Carb deep dish pizza so I could compare it to mine. It was very good also, and probably easier to make. The crust just wasn't as firm as I would have liked. It was probably my fault, not hers. I used a larger pan than she did so the crust was very thin. That being said, there is no reason for anyone to suffer from pizza withdrawals on this WOE with so many easy options available. Gonna have to try the mockafoni and cheese soon. Pizza and macaroni and cheese have always been my achilles heel on this WOE. I can safely take pizza off the list now. The only problem is that I still tend to overindulge in legal pizza.

    Congrats to Vickie for skipping over 217 yesterday. One more pound til the mini goal. Hope you will have some good news for us today. I'll be checking the celebration forums for your thread later. Next sticky one for you is 209.

    Julie, perhaps you could share some good news today too.

      Went to the dietitian who was supposedly (to my wife) was "sorta OK" with the Atkins plan. Within seconds the woman had me so irritated I want to tell her to stick it in her ear. I told her what I knew and she kind of in a round about way told me that I was an idiot and that she wanted me to be getting my calories from better sources (which of course meant cabs). There is a lot of things that make me physically angry. one of these is being treated like some uninformed moron.

      Her suggestions? She wants me on a minimum of 200 carbs a day.. or 75 at each meal and then the snacks that should add up to around 200 - 250. She still considered that low and wanted my carbs to be at 45-50% of my daily diet. I've been kind of depressed and angry for days over this

      There is no winning at all..

      I don't know what to do.

        Don't listen to her...You know best what works for your body...believe me I've tried it all...nutritionist included...and Atkins is the ONLY thing that ever worked...Stay strong!!!
        Oh yeah, I kinda overdid the red wine last night...Atkins makes the alcohol hit SO much faster!!! Yikes!

          Yes it does, but it makes getting enough water the next day easier.

            Ah, but there is winning...and you know you can do it. Keep on track. Go back to see this genius when you've reached goal!! Living good and feeling terrific is the best revenge. You do know what do....you've already started doing it! Finish. If it's worth having, there will be a thousand idiots willing to stand in your way!! Don't let them knock you down!

              Good morning! Woke up to 47* which is freakish & then it is snowing 2 hours later. Craziness!!

              Fozzy find a new nutritionist but more importantly continue with Atkins! You will be a winner for sure!

                So far, so good this weekend. I made a pot of low carb chili yesterday, topped it with some aged wisconsin cheddar and a little sour cream, and BAM! What a meal! (Thanks to whoever posted the Texas Chili recipe last week...).

                I jumped over a big hurdle yesterday when I turned down, for the first time in my life, an ice cold beer. 11 days ago I would have told you that I'd rather cut a finger off than turn down a cold beer...

                My biggest struggle recently is that I feel guilty when I eat, as if I should be starving myself to lose weight (like we've all done in the past) instead of eating and losing. I'm actually at the point where (and this is only 10 days into induction for me), I have to plan and schedule my meals so that I'm sure I will eat them, and I force myself to eat.

                  Hello everyone! Hope you are all enjoying the weekend.

                  I am starting my 15th day of Atkins today and induction is complete. I lost 5 pounds on induction and I am going to continue on extended induction for now. For once, I am not feeling deprived or craving the carb foods. I'm also not excruciatingly hungry between meals either - all good things.

                    Morning STACers!

                    I'm still feeling yucky - my chest is getting more sore but I'm still not coughing yet and I'm not stuffed up. I mean, come on! If I'm going to have a cold then give me the darned cold! Instead, the whole virus-thing is dragging it's a$$, which means that I'll likely be feeling yucky for a good week or so

                    The good thing is that feeling lousy isn't prompting me to seek out non-legal comfort food. I might not be eating enough, but I AM eating when I'm hungry... so I'm okay with that.

                    TJ - I weighed myself when I got up this morning and I'm down to 215!!
                    While I'll record it in my graphing journal, I won't record it here until tomorrow or Tuesday assuming I'll I see the number again each of those days!! It could very well be that I've lost these few pounds because I'm not feeling well... so to be sure of that I'll just wait to see if the number sticks around.

                    Fozzy - stick to plan! To heck with that nutritionist!!

                    NewTo - I often have the same guilty feelings and will sometimes eat less because of it. But mostly I work to set the feelings aside, eat when I'm hungry and eat until I'm full. I rarely eat until I'm over-full like I do when I'm off plan.

                      Vickie, that's great!!! Slow down, you're gonna pass me. I don't think I'm gonna see a loss tomorrow morning. I went out for all you can eat meat tonight. This should set me up for a whooshie tomorrow though. No luck on the shorts and shirts today , gonna hit the outlet malls next weekend. I did find some nice 500 thread count egyptian cotton sheets and pillow cases though. They're in the washer right now. I love new nice sheets. I bought some new belts today. My old ones ran out of holes and they look sloppy with long tails just a floppin' all over the place. I need to take some of my nicer ones to a leather shop and have the buckles moved. I bought some really nice hand tooled ones last time I was in Argentina and would hate to have to toss them.

                        I'm still here, on plan. I tried to get in some extra skating practice in yesterday, and had a lace mishap, and ended up with another EPIC bail. grrrrr. I am in so much pain today, but when it happened, it was no great shakes except for the scrapes!

                        Vickie, congrats on hitting your mini-goal! it's so exciting when that happens!

                          Hope everyone had a lovely weekend!! I spent my day in Walmart. I bought 2 pairs of pants in a large size. I was wearing extra large!! I also bought a new computer. The old one had so many popups on it that it wouldn't give me time to post anything. Now I'll never shut up!! Anyway, I didn't eat much today, so I had a nice salad this evening, and am trying to catch up on my water. Hang tough, everybody!!

                              Happy Late Sunday (8:55 pm here).....

                              I had club training today from 10 till 3 pm then I went shopping for magical vegi soup ingredients. So when I got home I made my pot of soup. I only had vegi soup for dinner. I did have ham and cheese quiche for breakfast and some jerky today. Just not very hungry .

                              Vickie- Great news you win! Feel better soon.

                              TJ..... I just had the sheets talk with my husband...... He accidentally threw out my favorite set when we were spring cleaning..... They were donated to charity. We use flannel alot in the winter but I love the sateen 400 tc egyptian. Nothing compares to them. Guess what he will be getting me for Valentines day
