    Good morning all, Happy President's Day. Like all good federal employees, I am staying home today. No losses to report today, despite some intense Michelob Therapy. No damage done though. Doing some yard work today as part of spring cleanup. Have a great day at work everyone.

    Is this the right place for today? My daughter (3) is off to daycare and I am working from home-no day off for me. Still no loss (14, after a week of what I thought was all legal food. Boston Market says no carbs in chicken and I took the skin off which I thought for sure would help in case there was any sugar. First time I did this (the right way!!) I lost 7 pounds in first week... Trying to stay positive and FORCE myslef to drink the water. It's hard!

      HAPPY MONDAY EVERYONE!!! I am in a great mood and chugging down my eggnog shake...I added a bit of cold leftover coffee for taste and you know what? I am ready to kiss Starbucks goodbye for life!!! Stay legal everyone!

          GOOD MORNING!

          Today is MY Birthday!........... and I was doing GREAT till I arrived at work!

          MY BOSS........ had a huge Birthday Cake/Fruit/Nuts in this huge spread laid out for me when I arrived....

          SO after 29 CHEAT FREE DAYS.>>>>>>>

          I had to have a birthday that my BOSS is so dear to provide a little party!

          so......... I wouldn't hurt anyone's feelings.... I had

          4 small bites of cake/4 nuts and 1 strawberry.........

          I'll survive I"M SURE............... just felt horrible eating it and I"M sure I"ll feel HORRIBLE later.... sugar! YUKE!

          so, I'll push the water and hit the treadmill....

          OH... I'm on day 29 and have LOST............................


          15 lbs!

          so.... I'm past this cake thing and MOVING ON........

                Good Morning to you all. I had a pretty good weekend... the hubby took me out to Texas Roadhouse...that was a mad house. We waited two hours for a table...but no cheats. It was nice to get away just the two of us anyway -even if the quality time was spent standing in line.

                DH got put on high blood pressure medication this past week. So, maybe he will start to diet and exercise with me after all. I have been telling him for the past couple of months to join me... so maybe now he will.

                  Happy Presidents Day STAC'ers

                  I am happy to report a nice 3# loss today- I went back to induction for a few days just to see if I was missing something. I stopped eating peanut butter and I also stopped eating pickles and sourkrought. My stinky BO has been gone for a few days so I think I figured that one out.

                  Today I am feeling a little sleepy- I took a relefen last night (anti-inflamitory) and it knocked me out. From now on I will take it right before bed. Yesterday was good. I got a lot of activity in- ate some quiche, soup, and taco scramble and I topped it off with cheese cake. No other diet can you feel so good.

                  I spoke with my father yesterday. He is a lifetimer on weight watchers. He retired in Spetember so he is no spring chicken. His wife has a lot to loose (100+) and my dad has lost 17# since Januray- he has 10# more till he is back at goal. His poor wife has lost 11# and says she is starving. Now she is an RN and we discussed Atkins before and she told me I was crazy and I was taking my life into my hands. Since I don't like her I will not talk to her again about Atkins, but I do feel some kind of pitty for her ignorance.

                  Today's goals are drink my water, do some work, a trip to costco, do some more work, Wii for 30 minutes and do some more work.

                    Julie, I am happy for your loss. That sounds odd to type, doesn't it. Going back to the basics worked wonders for me, I'm glad it helped you too.

                    I just got done pressure washing half of my house. Thank God it was the tall half, because I'm gassed. I've been pounding water though because it's hard work. After that I get to weed whack and edge. The lawn is just starting to come to life down here from it's winter sleep. At least the weeds are. I'll be crazy busy for the rest of the day.

                      Morning everyone!

                      Feeling loads better - the cold I was sniffling from is almost gone!
                      Weight is holding steady at 213 which is also good... well, good that that rapid loss I experienced last week hasn't resulted in a few-pound gain!!

                      Things on the "building my business" front are going well = just completed (with the help of my builder) a fantastic fireplace remodel that my client LOVES! Very dramatic and urban-contemporary. I'm very, very proud of the design (me!) and my builder (check out my blog is you'd like to see)!! On the other hand, I'm sitting at my mundane every-day job right now wishing I was painting a wall, shopping for furniture/accessories/art... anything design/decor related and NOT what I'm doing (or not doing, I suppose... 'cause I'm posting on the forum!!)

                      Went for a long hike yesterday with my husband. It was so beautiful - the sun was shining off the lake and creating magical light affects on the trees/moss/stones of the trail. My body is feeling the trek today, but in a good way!!

                        it sounds like everyone is doing well and industriously! julie, is your soup recipe on the board anywhere? I keep seeing you mention it, and keep forgetting to ask about it. it's chilly enough here that I'd like some kind of nice soup!

                        I think I'm going to go back on induction. I'm seeing my herbalist on wednesday night and hopefully she can figure out if it's anything other than food intake that's making me hold water lately. blech!

                              TJ - all of this spring cleaning talk is not nice for us Northern Girls... we have about 3 months of winter left yet. Weird but I love to get out there and rake my lawn in the spring and clean everthing up. Right now we are in a hard freeze until at least the end of March. It is only 25 degrees here today.

                              I am glad to hear that you are getting things cleaned up & working the waist line at the same time.

                              I dont believe I will be on the scale again until at least the 28th. Hopefully it will be a nice surprise.
