    Good morning, all! It's hump day and I'm ready for the weekend already! It's been a stressful week at work and I'm delighted to report I'm totally on plan as I have found in the midst of craziness, being on plan is the only thing I can control! Yes, I'm a controlling person....

    I'm having a HUGE problem with exhaustion lately. Will more exercise bring me up or wear me out further?? The carbs are where they should be. I'm getting right at 100 ounces of water per day. I make it through the day fine and then need to pass out shortly after I get home from work. Then I wake up at 1 or 2 am, maybe 3 or 4 if I'm "lucky" and it starts all over again! Let me know if you have any suggestions!!

    Everlosing, we are together again. I was 203.8 this morning. You and Julie seem to be having the same deal with being tired. I would agree that water intake is possibly an answer. I'd swear I read that you should be getting 64 oz plus 8 oz for every 10 lbs you want to lose. That would put you at 96 oz. You also need to add 8 oz for every caffinated beverage an glass of wine. You are borderline at 100 oz. Possibly up your exercise too, that helps you sleep better. If all else fails, borrow my children for a day, they'll wear anyone out. I could use a day off. Happy Hump Day, I gotta wake up the angels and get them ready for school.

        GOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOD Morning all!
        I am feeling optimistic because my (almost) son-in-law said it looks like my "diet" is working. Let me tell you that after a 1 pound gain at this week's weigh-in, my faith is renewed. I will be even more motivated than usual today! Keep up the water all!

          Good morning everyone. It's better than hump day for me, it's day 10 of a 12-day stretch of working - I'm on the downhill side of it! And, the scales were good to me this morning, I'm officially down 20 pounds now. Wooohooo. I have now set myself a mini-goal of losing 6 more pounds before we go on our cruise next month. I would love to be in a new decade before we leave.

          Everlosing, sorry to hear about your sleep problems, not sure I have an answer, but it could be all of the stress at work is just making you emotionally exhausted, moreso than physically. Hope you find an answer, I know that not being able to sleep all night is no fun at all.

          Hope that everyone has a great on-plan day!

            Well crap - I'm up to 148 - but I'm here and ready to lose at least 8lbs to start and then continue on my journey. I hate it when I binge

              Good Morning everyone...

              Everlosing - have you ever tried taking melatonin? It is an herbal supplement for sleep...our body naturally will produces but sometimes it can be low. I take 3 mgs at around 8PM and I think it has been helping me a lot. And there is no groggy effects in the AM that some sleep aides can have.

              Also I think I read somewhere that we should be drinking 40 oz for every 100 lbs. - so I have been trying my darndest to hit that 100 oz mark. - But then again that is sometimes a streach for me and I am lucky to get in 64 oz. a day.

              I hope the sleep issue gets better for you. Take care...everlosing.

                Everlosing, do you think that you can force yourself to stay awake later in the evening? It seems like you're on a sleep schedule that you don't want to be on. If you stay up later, maybe you'll sleep later in the morning.

                My sleep is messed up because of a new puppy!!! She wakes me up about 2 and then I put her in bed and we go back to sleep.

                  Hello all! Checking in... Scale hasn't moved this morning... But i'm feeling optimistic after doing measurments at the gym yesterday. I'm down several inches, including 4 from the widest point of my hips ~ my big "trouble area"
                  Everlosing~ you mentioned possible working out more to get your sleep schedule back to what it should be... this worked for me! In adddition, i've been on anxiety medication for almost two years. Haven't taken it in 2 months and i feel fabulous, which i attribute to the working out. Now that the gym has become such an intregal part of my life, i wonder how 3 hours on the couch was ever satisfying at all???
                  I love this forum - thank you all for letting me be here... i feel like this is key to many of us to keep on track. Good luck to all today!

                    Hi Everyone- Glad I am here! Still not cheating but I too have a problem with drinking all the water-it is really, really, hard. Let me ask you guys something, once we eventually reach a goal weight, do we have to keep up THIS MUCH water the rest of our life? I don't see any progress and I know I only have 25 pounds I want to lose, but it is my 25 pounds and still difficult. I think maybe I am even eating too many calories. Under 20 carbs, or at 20, but maybe too much meat...Can't figure anything else. Hope everyone has a great day. Insomnia was better last night, but I still am waking up at 3 and 4 a.m. which is not good with a 3 year old! Have a great day everyone!

                      Good morning all! Scale showed 1 lb weight loss today, finally starting to move again. I'm targetting to lose 3 lbs this upcoming week, we leave on our cruise a week from tomorrow. So I'm going to up the water & excercise.

                          Okay so I went out to Spark People as I cannot get to the Fitday website. After putting in all of my food that I consumed yesterday I feel that I have totally messed up. I think my protien intake is just to high.

                          I consumed 1445 in calories, 36g Carbs, 90g of fat, and 121g of protien.

                          I know someone has told me how it all breaks down, but that is not helping me I guess. I just think I am taking in to much. I just want food as of late... not that it is bad food - I will eat meat if I have to. I just want to eat.

                          HELP.

                            Shaunawa, I am frustrated too! I just found out the Kraft salad dressing I use cannot be used since it has sugar but only 1 carb per serving. I DON'T get it! This is ridiculous! What about Caesar dressing? Is there one I can buy instead of having to make? Folks, I am dying here!

                              Happy Hump Day STAC'ers

                              Today is a busy day. I have a lot of work to do. We are expecting a nice little snow storm tomorrow so I need to get as much done as I can today.

                              I never made a quiche yesterday and I am kicking myself for that. I got busy on something and all of the sudden it was dinner time. It was all I could do to get dinner done. Then hubby called and I ran out of time. It looks like Hubby "should" be home Friday. There is a big storm coming in the Alutian Islands (where he has been) and we don't know if any planes will be able to fly.

                              I awoke very sleepy again this morning. I think this is a seasonal thing or I am just not sleeping well since hubby has been gone. I am sleepy- I am laying in bed and I keep looking at the clock- tossing and turning. Last I remembered it was 3 am.... I did for the most part stop taking any pain medication about 4 weeks ago (I reserve the right to take a pill when I have over done it with my back).

                              I will try to get 3 liters of water in. I know that is what I used to drink. It is hard to drink water when it is cold out side. The scales stayed the same today (I am trying to stay off and only weigh once or twice a week).

                              Today's goals: Drink 3 liters of water, make a quiche, get my work done, clean the fridge out & make a good dinner. Play Wii for 30 minutes (I did 50 minutes last time until my daughter said no more).
