    Hello All!
    I mentioned in Roll call yesterday that i am GOING ON VACATION! In T minus 4.5 hours~!
    So excited ~ Vermont is gorgeous this time of year - and we're right at Mt Killington!
    BUT... you know how vacation goes! I'm not scared of the food... went grocery shopping last night - got tons of low-carb legal food.
    It's the booze.
    An entire week with no children... no work... no responsibility ~ and copious amounts of alcohol! Several hundreds of dollars in booze. Yes i said hundreds... for six people (one of whom does not drink).

    In addition - EVERYONE IS OVERWEIGHT. Everyone. Some are just 20 pounds or so over what they should be... some are a hundred or more. And EVERY ONE OF THEM IS ON A DIET, though i'm the only one on Atkins. They have all said that they are giving up their diets because they're on vacation!

    What?!?!! Not me!!! Vacation from what?? Good Health?? Happiness?? Smaller Clothes??

    I'm really saddened that none of them care to continue the weight loss goals that they've all worked so hard for.

    I even packed my yoga body ball, my instructional book (to get a full body work out without an eliptical available), and my 10# dumbbells. Sadly, they're all rooting against me. Many comments have been made such as
    -You'll never make it the whole week without slipping up
    -Who cares? You're ON VACATION!
    -I betcha that excersize ball stays in the car.

    These people are my friends, but have no idea the level of determination i have. Just wanted to be in your thoughts - since this is the best support i've ever had.

    I WISH EVERYONE THE BEST WHILE I'M AWAY!! Won't be able to check in until NEXT Saturday - please post me some comments - i THE SUPPORT!

    Just mix your booze with diet soda and you should be fine as long as you eat legal. You probably won't see losses, but you shouldn't see big gains either. I got hammered last night and I'm paying for it today. I went over my carb limit (barely) and ate only wings (way too many). I stayed away from the chips and other things that aren't legal. I saw a 2 pound gain this morning, but I'm sure it'll be gone tomorrow. At least I'll have no problems getting my water in today . PapaDeuce just got back from a week in Vegas and only gained 1 pound. He did great, now try to beat him.

        I am getting married too my wedding is in June 09 I have more work to do than you though

        your pics look great I am 5'7 270 I started 2 weeks ago at 285 lost 15 pounds since Don't let the vacation stop you

        If they dont want to stay on the diet just go along with everyone tell them yeah I am not stressing over the diet while on vacation but stick to it this will hopefully stop them from giving you negative comments


        Success feels so good ! Although I think you look great now I say take a pic of your dress to remind you of your goal!

            Welcome to Vermont! Since you're at Killington take advantage of all the activities...downhill or X-country skiing, snowshoeing, ice skating, etc... Is there a gym &/or a pool where you are staying? Stick to your plan & the heck with your friends. Show them that this way of eating/living is doable no matter where you are.
