Good morning, fellow STACer's! I'm in a good mood this morning. Don't know why...extremely well rested, I guess. Can't get an accurate read on the scale as my battery is shot. I hopped on this morning and it said 199.5....I knew better! Made it through a birthday party successfully yesterday thanks to tuna salad and almonds. I'm going to workout like a mad woman today. I want ONEderland!! It's Sunday...time for making meals in advance for the week and making sure I have a dozen portable bowls to pack in my purse (suitcase). This week is going to be stressful. Waiting on an audit at work....my blood pressure just went up thinking about it. Hope I score perfectly...but if I don't, I can console myself with looking good on the outside!!!

Hi Everyone-okay, confession time... I blew it last night and won't even tell you on what. Needless to say, I woke up this morning and am recommitting myself to the process and will try a cleaner induction. I know some of you felt I didn't have too many salad vegetables, so I am going to focus on that this time around with Mushrooms, celery and cucumbers. More fish and less cream in general. I also think I might have been a little heavy handed on the salad dressings. I have not decided yet if I will actually weigh in tomorrow or not. It would be a good idea, but I have been known to become discouraged by this... Anyway, I will be hanging around for awhile-everyone have a great day!

      Good morning everyone!

I also blew it last night... I was doing awesome, eating sashimi... then I ate 3 peices of a roll (with rice)... then I had one mochi ball ice cream (it was small though).

I almost didn't weigh in because I knew I'd go up a little bit... but yeah, I did and gaining 2 lbs. for 4 or 5 bites of carbs total royally sucks. So, I won't be doing that again anytime soon.

I'm eating deviled eggs for breakfast, and a bunless burger with a tossed salad with bleu cheese for lunch... dinner's still up in the air.

      Happy Sunday everyone!

Good morning all. The scale finally dropped again. Two pounds from yesterday morning. I had swore off a daily check of the scale, but for some reason I weighed the last two days. It's funny how the scales will stick for weeks and then 2 lbs will leave in a day. I'm on a modified OWL. I just can't stomach the menu as far as vegetables go, so to stay on the diet I have to substitute some items (all low carb of course).

I semi screwed up last night as well (seems like a Sunday morning theme in here). I went out with some friends and had my one vodka and club...which turned into two, which ended up being three. After three I felt like total crap, and realized that my body just wasn't used to alcohol anymore....either that, or I really friggin' hate vodka. Anyway, I came home at 2am, ate some of my low carb chili, drank half a gallon of water, and went to bed. I woke up feeling awful, but at least the scale posted a 1 lb loss. Water weight, no doubt....which I'm going to work really hard at putting back on today.

So. hello, my name is Jon, and I'm one day sober.

          Have a great day everyone!

            Good morning everybody!

I met mini goal number 3, now weigh 164.5! This is the lowest my weight has been in 3 years, and haven't been under 155 in probably 6 years, so I am psyched! Still eating on plan and feel that I will make it all the way to my goal this time.

For those of you that fell of the wagon last night, hopefully the few extra carbs will jumpstart your weight loss when you get back on plan.

              Re: Roll Call 2/22/09

Morning all. Haven't been here in a couple of days, got sidelined Friday by a horrible stomach virus, so that meant I had to eat some crackers to settle my stomach late in the day, followed by a grilled cheese sandwich. Felt a lot better yesterday, and got mostly back on plan. Today it's back on the straight and narrrow. I understand after having done this before that an illness like I had is not an excuse to totally go off of the deep end, I just do what I have to in order to settle the tummy, then get back on it. I didn't see any weight gain yesterday, and won't weigh for a couple of days.

On the bright side, I went shopping yesterday for my cruise, and did really well, I even got some things a size smaller than I was expecting, and a lot of my old shorts are fitting again. I'm ready for sunshine and warm weather.

Hope everyone has a great, on-plan day. Don't let those little slip-ups derail you, jump back on board, and do what you know works!

Wow, what a bunch of cheaters we all are!!! I didn't cheat last night, but I'm still paying for my Friday booze-fest. Those two pounds are still with me, and they brought a friend, or at least a small child. I was 204.6 today, so wonderland seems far off again.

Jon, you did well to stay on plan despite the vodka. Usually that's when I blow it, boozing up and then hitting the chips/pizza/carb laden food. I guess it's a small victory that you stayed on plan.

Everlosing, glad to see you are getting some rest finally. That helps out dropping the poundage and keeps your mindset positive.

                Have a good Sunday everyone.

It wasn't a wagon as much as it was a bar stool that I fell off of last night.

Hello All! I have officially made it through day one. Yippee. I have tried Atkins on several occasions before, but the longest I stayed with it was a month. I am serious about losing the weight this time and really excited. I plan on utilizing the site WAY more than I did on any of my other attempts, and using more recipe’s so I don't get bored.

Anyway, I'm happy to be here.

                      Happy Sunday STAC'ers

I had a pretty good day yesterday. I do feel like I may be getting sick. This has been the case every few weeks.... I feel a cold trying to get me but my awesome immune system has managed to kick it every time. My daughter is getting pretty sick though. One of her tonsils was red and swollen yesterday. I will check it today and may take her to the dr on Monday.

We went to see a movie yesterday afternoon. I did eat a few peices (maybe 2 small handfulls of pop corn). I don't consider it a cheat really. It did not taste good like it used to. I had my SF jolly ranchers and I only had 2 of those. I did drink a lot of diet coke though. Not so good.

I have club training today. I will be getting alot of activity mixed in with serious heavy duty actions... I will be tired and sore tonight.

                      Good job- Everloosing.

Cara I think you should weigh in- you might be surprised and see a drop. This would prove that you are not eating enough and the little binge might have released something?

Plsmachic- You didn't blow it terrible. Just a small bump. It wasn't like you ate a plate of brownies (altough the ice cream wasn't good). At least you managed only a few bites. I say good job on the will power to stop.

                      Congrats on the loss NoDef.

John you are doing great! My name is julie and I am a carbaholic... LOL

                      Woohooo for Judy Congrats!

Jen- when you are sick you need some starch to settle you stomach. Don't beat your self up about it. Call it a vegi and move on. I hope you are feeling better.

TJ- you will be down before you know it.

                      Have a great day STAC'ers.

Both posting here every day and using recipes have been huge for me. This is by far the longest I've every done this. My previous record was 6 weeks. I'm actually seeing this as a WOE vice diet for the first time in my life. I think I'm just a few days shy of 10 weeks and don't feel any urges to stop.

I'm thinking about organizing a barbecue for Southeastern Geogia/Northeast Florida Atkineers. Are you in the area or are you a northerner?

No fair, TJ... I'm too far away to come to a BBQ party!!

Checking in - 52 days cheat free and counting!
Also, weigh in today was still at 210 (2 days in a row) so I'm feeling pretty confident that it's happily keeping 211 at bay and that, soon enough, 209 (and eventually one-derland!) wants to pay a visit, too!!

Having a good weekend - trying to write an article for my blog, though, and I keep finding other things to do instead

Well, thank you so much!! Please know how happy I am you said that because now, I feel I have accomplished something worthwhile today!! I've been a little slow around the house today! I sure do notice a HUGE increase in dirty dishes since I started this WOE. I get side tracked with dishes and getting the kitchen clean before I mess it up again!

So, know this. YOUR post is a good swift kick in my butt to get back in that kitchen and butter the green beans and shove 'em down!! I enjoy the board on the weekends! Perhaps, a bit too much! Thank YOU!!!
