    How did everyone do yesterday on Day 1 of a clean induction? I'm really proud of myself except that I had NO veggies except for the dill relish in the tuna salad. Oh, and there were some pickled jalapenos in the tuna salad.

    I'll work on that today.

    You know, just doing it ONE day is so motivating. That means that I didn't put it off until the proverbial "tomorrow" and stuff some almonds in my head. Or some sugarfree chocolate.

    I feel like if I can make it through one day, I can make it for two weeks. I'd only like to lose 15 at the most, so if I can lose three pounds at the end of this two weeks, I'll be so happy.

    Well, Kelly, You certainly have the right attitude. I know you will make it no problem!

      Kelly - why are you aiming for no veggies?

      With Atkins you should be having salad veggies and/or legal veggies - if salad veggies only, 3 loosely packed cups a day... if both salad and legal veggies, 2 loosely packed cups and 1 cup (legals). If no salad veggies in a day, I can't remember the quantity of legal veggies (2 cups?) if that's all you're having in a day (I rarely go through a day without salads [with red pepper slices, a little tomato, a little grated cheese, sometimes some avacado, and always a light sprinkling of sunflower seeds or sliced almonds [I'm not on induction]). I always use a yummy full fat but low carb dressing - caesar, ranch, an oil & vinegar based dressing, blue cheese. delish!

      Eat your veggies!!! A very, very important part of your plan and the place where you'll get most of your 20g each day.

      Do you have/have you read the book?

      And someone... please come in and correct or confirm my veggie quanitites... quantity size has become so second nature to me that I can eyeball things!

        I'm not aiming for no veggies. If you notice in the post, I said, " I'm really proud of myself except that I had NO veggies." It just worked out that way.

        I've read the book and I do eat my veggies. Yesterday was just an off day when it came to veggies.
