  • I cannot read low carb recipe boards/sites

Not on induction anyway, I'm ready to run down to the kitchen and start whipping up all kinds of low carb stuff. Then I want to eat it all. I'm sitting here like Pavlov's dogs. Drooling and all.

    Good grief.

Kelly, I can't read them either. If I'm looking for something specific and just pop in and out, I'm okay.

But if I just browse recipes, particularly dessert recipes, all I can think about is food, and I WILL overeat!

    Ditto on the good grief!

The other day I was in Ingles and I had been searching for almond meal for a long time--before we decided to do the superstrict induction.

Anyway, they had it. I stood there and held it for a long time, looking at it, before i put it back on the shelf. Just walk away from it, Kelly. Just walk away. No! Run!!!

I need to just stick with eggs and hamburger patties for the time being....

Kelly, hit those sites and make those foods! It is important to have some semblance of normalcy in this WOE. Just cut the recipes in half so you don't over eat the goodness. In stead of a pizza, I make a personal pizza because time has told me that if I make a big one, I eat a big one.

I will ,TJ, after induction. Right now, I just want it strict and boring. Brainless. No temptations.

Cookbooks have always been like porn to me. I LOVE reading them! I even drool reading vegetable recipes. I have to treat reading recipes like grocery shopping; NEVER do it when you're hungry!

I'm one that will go to the thrift stores and read the cookbooks without buying them...although, I found a few LC one's in the past for cheap prices that way. The best thing about just reading the recipes in the stores, I'm out of the house and away from the stove and pantry.
