    I FINALLY lost a pound! I will take it! I am at 147 this morning... Hope everyone has a great day. It is amazing that 1 pound will encourage anyone-even if it is only water weight. This has taken a month and the beauty of it is that I am no longer OBSESSED with the scale. I used to weigh two or three times a day and it defined my day. Onward and upward as they say...Everyone have a great day-I will not give up!

    Congrats on that one pound gone. Pick up a pound of deli meat or a pound of cheese and one pound is NOT insignificant. Quite hefty.

    I remember my first time around, when I hit the 25 pound mark, I was in the grocery store. I picked up a 25 pound bag of kitty litter and I was just amazed at how much weight that is.

    Anyway, good morning everyone. I've got a hamburger patty and mayo for breakfast and tuna salad and chicken salad for lunch.

      Congratulations for hanging in there. I had a good day. Got a weight workout in. This has not been a time issue--more of a motivation issue and today my good self beat my lazy self and got to the weight room! Hoooorayyy!

        I am hoping to start working out shortly-I walk but I am sure it is not enough. I do not think I am alone in just plain admitting I hate to exercise. I figure if I only do it to lose weight, the weight loss won't last as I do not see myself hitting the gym 3 days a week for the rest of my life. I will however, change (and have) my eating habits permanently!!

          Does anyone know if I can delete a post from my Journal Chats? I got a really nasty post on my Journal Chats from a "moderator." I'd like to delete it. I'm not easily offended but I certainly didn't ask for this person's opinion.

              Good morning, everyone! Had a good loss on the scale this morning, I was beginning to think I wouldn't hit my goal before the cruise, but I still might. Very busy this week getting ready to leave Sunday, I still have a lot to do. Work will be a booger the rest of this week, then off on the cruise for a week! I can't wait...

              I'm planning on hitting the water hard today. Hope you all have a great day!

                Well, the scale said 291.4 this morning when I woke up. Finally broke through the 294 barrier that I've been stuck on. 289 by Friday is my goal, because that will put me at 30 pounds lost in my biggest loser competition. Lofty goal, but I'm going for it.

                I know that peanuts aren't allowed on induction, but I've been eating 1-2 tbs of natural peanut butter each day on 2 pieces of celery for breakfast...I can't do eggs this week (I'm egged out). Does anyone know if there is a major problem with this? 2tbs of natural peanut butter has 4g carbs and 2g of fiber...2 net carbs. If I'm not gaining (I'm losing, actually), is it okay?

                  Hello all,

                  Just checking in and will go get on the treadmill here in about 45 min,
                  just need to wake up first : )

                  My scale has been in the closet for about 3 weeks now, its easy to get
                  to emotional over it.... but I am needing to tighten my belt by 2 notches
                  and that works for me.

                    Kelly- I just read the last couple of pages on your journal and did not think the post from the MOD Gorgiana (sp?) was offensive in the least. Why don't you send her a PM and ask her to not post in your journal and to please remove the post.

                    It appeared to me that she was only trying to help you out (that is one of the jobs of mods).

                    I thought Journal Chats were suppose to be open to the forum members to help & support each other.

                      Happy Hump Day STAC'ers

                      I am feeling better today. Still having some cramps in my back, but my knee is feeling pretty good right now.

                      I made a kick butt Indian Curry Chicken yesterday for dinner. I looked up the recipe online and then subbed splenda when in called for sugar. It was a huge hit with the family.

                      Congrats Cara- I am so happy for you happy dance time!

                      NewtoAtkins and TexasJen- congrats as well!

                      Yesterday I came to the conclusion that I need to try on my old dress slacks because when I put on the ones I was wearing before restarting they are bagging off of me. My levis are a different story. I have retired the comfy one beccause they fall off, but the ones that were super tight (thanks to lycra) are now fitting loosly.

                      I am not quite ready to buy new clothes though. I might treat myself to a new outfit when I hit onderland. I did go down a whole bra size from a 42DD to a 40D. I hope to be at a 38C eventually.

                      Tonight I am taking hubby, daughter, her new "guy" friend, and her BFF to watch the AFC (like the UFC but local). It should be fun.

                        greetings & salutations!

                        i'm really tired today. I was at an animation festival last night, and then went to a friend's place for tea afterwards, and of course, lost track of time. but I was REALLY good with my food and everything.

                        now to get rid of this flu. I'm almost getting worried about it.

                          Hello Everyone

                          Cara - fantastic news!

                          NewtoAtkins - plan aficionados will tell you that you shouldn't have peanut butter until you've reached the nut rung. The way I see it - if you've completed your 2 weeks of induction (i.e., re-worked your body-system and now it's burning fat for fuel) and you're ready to move into OWL you can start to experiment with a few low-carb foods like no-sugar/natural peanut butter. As with all experiments, it's about trial and error. Since you don't seem to be stalling from the added peanut butter then you're likely fine. BUT... watch your weight loss and be careful that you don't over-indulge... and if you find that your weight loss stops for no apparent reason, remove it from your plan and see if that jump starts weight loss. (Julie was eating peanut butter and found that it affected her loss in the long run). I'm of the firm opinion that you need to be happy enough that you'll stick with a particular way of eating for life - if that means that you introduce peanut butter out of the recommended (not sanctioned, writen in stone) order of things then fine.

                          I'm doing fine - sticking to plan and trying hard to drink my water.
                          I had a hamburger for breaky too, Kelly... but I was too lazy to get the mayo out of the fridge!
