  • Hello

Well this looks like the right place to begin again.

I will be starting induction on Monday March 16th. I'll need the next few days to clear out my pantry and get my mind in order so that I can be successful.

You've got the right idea but why put it off until Monday? There's no time like the present! Good luck!

      Re: Hello

I agree you could start tomorrow... Or if you are like me... you do need time to prepare & get your mind ready for what you are about to do.

Either way... come here and post. Get the support you need. We will be here for you - one day at a time.

Get all your groceries that you need... stock up on legal food. Start cooking some great meals - check out the recipes. You can do this!

      Good Luck!

        Re: Hello

Good morning gmule - I'm glad you are here and have posted already - I did the same thing. Read the rules, memorize them if you need to. Don't forget to drink at least 64 oz of water a day and exercise - Dr Atkins says it is a must!

Tom as some wonderful advise for all new people http://www.atkinsdietbulletinboard.c...f-you-new.html. Here are a couple good recipe sites Linda's Low Carb Menus & Recipes - Daily Menus and OurAtkinsRecipes : Messages : 150-183 of 183.

Join a few challenges, they don't cost anything and are easy to do. It's just one way to keep yourself accountable and will help get you in shape. There are exercise, water, food, scale free, cheat free...just about any type of challenge you can think of. Atkins Diet - Threads Tagged with challenge

The first few days keep plenty of fatty things close to eat -- hard boiled eggs, chicken dipped in mayo, cheese (3oz a day), cream cheese stuffed celery stalks. Use real mayo, butter and olive oil - Atkins is a high fat, not high carb WOE (way of eating). As soon as you get into ketosis the cravings will go away and you'll have a big burst of energy.

If you have questions there is always someone here to help! Hope this helps.
-- good luck on your journey!

              Re: Hello

Thanks for all warm welcomes and tips.

Excercise is not a problem. I ride my bike to work 30 miles a day round trip.
I already drink lots of water.
I just need to clean the pantry out and prep my mind so I can deal with the cravings I know I am going to have. Plus I am finishing up the induction chapters in the book.
