  • Roll Call 3/13/09 FRIDAY the 13th!

    Good morning all! Up early and ready to tackle my day rather than be tackled!! I'm being audited at work today...once is enough to need the antianxiety meds. I'm going to be audited 3 times today! Hoping something is lucky about 13. I think I'm ready. I've worked really hard all week on more than "my job" and I hope that pays off today with a perfect score.

    I got a glimpse of ONEderland today but I want to make sure I own it before I start dancing. It's about time! I'll use the weekend free time to my advantage. It's so slow going. Gotta get going to make my legal eats for work. I rarely even get to go into that break room anymore. It's full of carbs and carb loaders!!

    Congrats on the glimpse Ev. Hope it stays around and you own it. I was at 200.2 today, after being at a low of 197 last Friday. The water weight seems to be coming off, but I didn't lift yesterday. I am doing another 5k run this morning, so I should be back in Wonderland tomorrow.

    I gotta run, literally, we start in 28 minutes.

      Good Morning.. Last Friday the 13th..My daughter was in an accident..she hit a deer..mind you it was the 2nd day she had her car! So we aren't taking chances today...we are driving her to school...lol Mainly cause its sleeting out there and we have no idea what the weather is going to do...

      I have been fighting my sweet cravings.. Seems to hit me at certain times of the day... I went to bed at 8:30 last night.. Still doing good..and starting to feel a bit better..at least my head isn't killing me anymore...

        Hi Guys

        I am eating clean to rung six - I have cut out my 7g of low carb bread which I used to eat daily. I have printed out the list of OWL foods and am going to introduce all the goodies that I skipped on the way up - seeds, nuts, etc. I introduced melon this morning. I have to say that it seems to have made me hungry so I'm not sure it will agree with me but I will try it again in two days and follow it with some eggs. I think it was just too few calories and low fat compared to what I am used to. I have eaten lunch already and it's only 11am!!

          Sandy, glad the "flu" is passing.

          Ev- I hate those glimpses. They are such a tease but at least then you know it is there even if it is dancing around with you for awhile. Congrats 'cause onederland is a HUGE triumph in my eyes. Haven't seen it myself since I was in college.

            Good morning all! I'm on my fifth day of my induction/candida cleanse and have lost 6 Lbs. so far. AMAZING! I'll take it! I have just past the induction flu and getting my energy back. I had forgotting how good this works.

              We're out of school today thanks to the end of the nine weeks and hubby and I are riding up to the mountains for lunch.

              I'll have a little more coffee today than usual. That's our "thing." We ride and stop for coffee and ride and stop for coffee and ride and....

              Anyway, I made some type of cheesecake bars last night using sf pancake syrup. I wanted to eat the whole pan. That's a big reason with I don't like cooking "treats." I do real good with just meat and veggies.

                Good Morning -to everyone. Hope you all have a great Friday...minus the 13th part.

                TJ congrats on your loss, I bet you are so proud of yourself. You are almost at goal..keep up the good work.

                I still have a lot of work to do. My momentum is slipping. I keep telling myself I need to get a few loose ends tied up in my life & things would be a bit easier. - I don't really see that happening until the end of March though.

                I need to get on a fitness schedule or something. - I cant let life keep getting in the way.

                  Shauna - you're right (i say all this in support)
                  I actually started this WOL the first week in January. After TWO MONTHS of half-assing it - i had lost 7 pounds. I was working out -ish. Nothing dedicated. Then i went on vacation at the end of Feb - AND GAINED IT ALL BACK THE LAST 2 DAYS.
                  Then March started. I began a clean induction on March 2nd with a seriously fiery attitude. I'm at the gym 5-6 days per week... i have now lost 12 pounds in 10 days (I didn't weigh myself this morning).
                  If you can find a way to get to the gym, or take a brisk walk for 45-60 mins... you will find that EVERYTHING will improve.
                  No anxiety, better sleep, better attitude, and best of all - BIG RESULTS.
                  You can do this!! That's why you're here! And that's why we're all here for you!

                    Good morning STACers!

                    After being on pre-maintenance for months and losing very little along the way, then gaining 3 pounds while I had the flu, (it should be the other way around, shouldn't it?), I started induction again yesterday and did great. I'm down 3.5 lbs. this morning so I'm very happy with that.

                    I hope all of you have a great day in spite of the date!

                        Hey...there's nothing wrong with this date! It's my birthday!!!! Wohoo!

                        And I had a big WOHOOO this morning when my scale was down to 282! Now if I can just stay clean through my birthday weekend so I can RECORD that lovely low weight (or maybe even lower???) on monday...that would be fabulous! Today is day 12 for me.

                        Last night I made individual servings of sugar-free crustless cheesecake to get me through this birthday weekend. I brought one with me to work today JUST IN CASE the work people got me a cake...but if they didn't, I will save it for when I have people over to my house later tonight. I just want to have SOMETHING to stick a candle in...and steak didn't sound as fun.

                        Speaking of steak, I splurged on myself last night and bought a 6-pack of New York steaks at costco. I've got them all vacuum sealed up and in the freezer now...maybe I'll pull one out before the weekend is out.

                        Dinner last night was a bit of a treat for me...pizza burgers is what I call it. It's just a patty with some pizza sauce, pepparoni and cheese...easy, but tasty. The sauce can be high carbish. I meant to check my ketosis this morning but totally forgot...but judging from the taste in my mouth, I think I'm ok. Blech.

                        Successfully did Atkins in 1998 using 1992 copy of the book...before it was "hip". Lost 60lbs, exercised daily, felt and looked great. And then I moved in with a junk-food loving man, my mom got sick and passed away, then I suffered a spinal cord injury, and junk-food dude left me...and now I weigh 292lbs. That's 22lbs MORE than I weighed the first time around. It's 10 years later...I know this will work for me again.

                          Happy Happy Happy Friday STAC'ers

                          I am so glad this week is all but over. It has been challenging for me. Today I have to take some product to an associate and then my daughter and I are going to see a movie. When it is over we are coming home to finish the house. All we have left is cleaning..... We did it.

                          I have plans of having a truely restful weekend. No plans- not planning anything. I will not put any stress on myself. I want to relax and get some serious rest. I plan on going to the gym both days but not having any friends over- no entertaining. No shopping. Nothing. Nadda

                          Conrgrats to all the loosers. You guys are doing great . I did weigh in today for the challenge. I wasn't down.... Yesterday I was 205, today I was the same. I hope next week or the next few days I see a consistant solid 205. I have not been eating enough all week. I know that is the problem. I have to increase my fat intake and I just haven't had the hunger. I did make meat loaf and a quiche last night. The quiche is ok. Not my best attempt.
