  • To Weigh or Not To Weigh

    That is my question. HeeHee.

Monday morning is normally my Weigh Day and I haven't weighed since last Monday morning.

This week I have kept my carbs between 18-20 grams EXCEPT for my sad story tonight.

I was fixing my husband's salad and saw a spaghetti squash that I bought a while back. It was going bad so I sawed it in half and threw away the bad part. Then I cooked the other half and I ATE IT. And it was so good. I'd never had one before and Dear God, was it good!!! Mmmmm.

Then, because I always do things bass ackwards, I looked up the carb count in my 2002 DANDR. I think that put me at about 30 grams for the day.

So, I'm considering blowing off my Weigh in the morning and waiting until next Monday because I have five pounds of spaghetti squash sitting in my belly!!!!

You might like the results better if you wait a week.

With me, overeating never shows up on the scales the next day. It's always the day after that I get my little surprise.

I've never had that but just by what you've said, I certainly wouldn't worry about that indulgence versus the entire week of your being right on plan! I don't know what phase you're in right now or I could probably give you a better answer. I wouldn't put off your weigh though. Chances are, you might not be able to stay off the scale for another week. It'd be tough for me!!

Yeah, I'm going to wait a week, Sunny.

Everlosing, you have got to try spaghetti squash. This was my first. I put some butter on it. No salt, no pepper, no sauce, just butter. Wow, was it good. Shouldn't have eaten the whole half, though.

YUMMMMM speghetti squash, one of my favorites! Cheese alfedo sauce is great with it. As is meat sauce, just as good. Also, butter, sweetner and cinnamon. So yummy! Better than pasta any ol' day.

If you think weighing and not having a good number would throw you off..then don't weigh....

Sherri and Sunny, that sounds so good. I couldn't believe how good it was plain!!!Just butter. Not even any salt!!

I've got to make some Shrimp Alfredo and put it over that. And it was so easy to cook. When I cut it in half and seeded it, I was looking at it, thinking, "I'm supposed to do what/??"

Then when I pulled it out of the microwave and stuck a fork in it, it just came right out. A big blob of spaghetti squash. I love it!!

It's one of my favorites too and I just eat it with salt and pepper!

Scales, as we all know, are EVIL! They will make you psycho cuckoo if you let 'em ... I usually weigh once a month, max (I've actually avoided it since Dec. 31!). I realize most Atkineers have a love affair with the scales but I hate 'em ... I'd rather rely on how loose my pants feel. Anyway, the less often you weigh in, the most often you're likely to experience the delightful phenom known as A WHOOSY ! And Whoosies, as we all know, are AWESOME in the extreme!

My problem is that I usually avoid the scales when I'm not doing things right and I don't want to see the consequences of my actions!!! Then when I finally get on the scales, I'm 10-15 pounds from where I'm supposed to be!!!
