  • I'm tired...

    of feeling bloated
of feeling like garbage, the headaches, and low energy
of buying larger clothing and the drawer full of clothing that I can't wear
    of being the fat guy

I WAS a devoted Atkins fan several years ago, at my peak I went from 260, to around 210, I felt great! Somewhere along the way, my wife and I got off track, way, WAY off track. Now a few years later, I'm back to almost 260 again, and I hate it. I made a couple attempts at Atkins after that, something always goes wrong and I get off track again. I know for a fact this is the best way for me to live. I know from experience I have carb issues. I'm sure you've all heard this before. I want to get back and stay back for life. I need to do this for my family, and myself. I'm re-reading some stuff here and in the book. I don't want to make the same mistakes I have in the past. I'm shooting for A weekend induction re-re-re-re-re-re-restart.

    Thanks for letting me vent

Right, so I started today! Little later that I wanted, but here we go. Best part is, my dear Wife is joining me! I had it in my head that she wasn't interested in Atkins... we talked about it this weekend, and she is in 100% with me!

Paul, it's exciting to see that your wife is in this with you! Together you will be a lot stronger than either of you would be doing it alone!

Wish I could get my DH on board!

                Re: I'm tired...

It's so good to hear that your wife has joined you in doing Atkins! That makes it so much easier when it comes to shopping and preparing food. It also helps that she won't be snacking on high-carb foods in front of you!

You've got the right attitude to be a rip roaring success.

                Sunny!

How cool that you're doing it together!! My husband will have a low carb treat in one hand and a donut in the other.
