  • re-re-re induction day 5

down about 6.4lbs, including TOM which showed up immediately after I started induction. All that extra water did the trick I guess!
Feeling great, never hungry, enjoying cooking instead of just microwaving frozen garbage. omg I made jicama hash browns yesterday and mmmmmmmmmmmm....
Cut my coffee back from 2cups to 1 cup to 1cup decaf to none at all today and don't feel bad from the lack of caffeine at all!
working out has been a challenge with tom around. still got in 4 workouts though.

I set my first goal to lose 10lbs by my birthday in april, but it looks like I may hit it before april even gets here.

Its probably not how you're "supposed" to make them, I think next time i'd let them soak overnight in water to soften but I was hungry and I dont mind the texture.

I just grated a bunch of jicama, a little less than half a whole jicama, into a bowl and let it sit in salt and pepper while I heated up a skillet with olive oil and butter. then just tossed em in and cooked them till they were all browned and pretty.

Jicama seems to get a lot sweeter when you cook it down as opposed to just eating it raw, so what came out was a very unusual flavor. Something between hash browns and caramelized onions. I used a bit too much oil I think and mine came out a touch too greasy for my taste but it still tasted awesome.

I'm gonna attempt to make Linda's radish foux roasted potatoes tonight, I think they may turn out less sweet and maybe more like potatoes if I add some bacon to it
