  • Roll Call 3/20/09 It's FRIDAY!!!!

    Good morning, STACer's! I'm soooo excited it's Friday. No losses, no gains in nearly a week!! I'm not delighted but I'm increasing the cardio so hopefully the losses will start coming back. I'm getting desperate here. Meant to drink a Michelob Ultra last night to see what that would do but forgot... Hope you all have a wonderful day!!

    OOPS!! I got a little ahead of myself. I typo'd 3/30. Do not panic...I will not be allowed to skip my birthday this year. Can someone please edit and change to 3/20?? I don't know if anyone is online right now with the appropriate "powers" to fix the post! Thank you!

        Good morning everyone. I lost 10lbs since 3/3/09 yay even with my mistakes. I cant believe how much lighter i feel. Have a great day need to go make my blt salad for breakfast :O)

          Good Morning.. Still hanging in there.. I haven't started exercising but next week I will try to go back to my water aerobics.. I need a new swimsuit though..Wish they would hurry up and get into the stores...

            Happy first day of Spring!
            I got a new cell phone yesterday. I hate it, I'm not smart enough to use it. Also, Sprint charged me $18 to activate it. I don't exactly know what I'm supposed to get for my $18. I am manually switching all of my phone numbers over and I lost my ringtones. I don't actually know what service they provided. I hate cell phone companies. I got a Samsung Rant and every time I put the stupid thing in it's holster it takes a picture of my hip. End rant.

            I have been a lazy slug all week. I have only exercised once. I will remedy that this weekend. The kids schedules have just been nuts. I had an opportunity to exercise last night, but I don't miss Grey's Anatomy. Ever.

              Spring break starts today for my kids...I'm 50/50 happy. They don't have school and they don't have school. We'll see who survives the most at the end of the week.

                  Good Morning All!

                  Well, it's my last day of parent conferences...I'm almost done! Luckily I only have 5 to do today. I plan to reward myself tonight with wings and cold, COLD beer. I can almost taste it now...

                  Yesterday a parent came in with a small bowl of homemade pasta for me because she knew I had conferences until very late. I tasted the pasta and it WAS excellent, but as soon as she left I put it away. Luckily no cravings followed.
                  Last night we went out to dinner with a friend. He chose a Golden Corral, so that's where we went. The medium cooked steak was awesome! Lots of cauliflower and broccoli. I even had some sugar free chocolate pudding...but it tasted like nickelodeon goo, so I threw that away.
                  The only screw up I had last night was the two breaded shrimp I ate. What a disappointment they were! I don't know why I ate the second after the first was gone, but I guess I was hoping the quality would improve.
                  The rest of my day was perfect...2 eggs for breakfast, 1.5 cups of salad and veggies for lunch with some olive oil caesar dressing.

                  Anyway, today will be a better day and I plan to be perfect this weekend. I have two weeks left in my biggest loser competition and I've lost over 10.65% of my weight so far in 6 weeks. The next closest to me is 8%...although they are much smaller and I have to lose 2 pounds to each of their 1 (I'm assuming and estimating). Here we go...onward to victory (and $220)!!!

                    good morning everyone!!! well today is day one for me. i am doing well so far. lots of water. bacon and eggs for breakfast. i plan to have a nice salad with tuna. dinner will be veggies and lamb chops.

                      Good morning all!

                      Friday couldnt come soon enough this week! Looking forward to the warm weather headed our way and beginning my exercise plan. I've had great results this time around and I dont want to waste any forward momentum by slacking off on exercise.

                      Maybe I can scare off the week 3-5 stall I usually experience... maybe!

                      Sandy - I am so glad to see you back! I know you struggled to stay on plan like myself a few times

                          Good morning from the Pacific NW...I always feel so late signing on compared to you early birds!

                          Scale was back down to 281.5...I will keep fingers and toes crossed that it will be lower by monday morning.

                          I think I've solved the big energy mystery of the week. Currently, I have no voice...this has been the weirdest, and yet most mild illness ever (knock on wood!). I think it started monday with the chills and low energy (but no fever, I checked!). Tuesday progressed to sneezing all day but no real congestion. Wednesday afternoon I had a little bit of an annoying cough that lasted through all of thursday and by last night I started loosing my voice which is now completely gone (and I have a teleconference in 10 minutes...not sure how to do that!). If that's as bad as it's gonna get, I'll take it!

                          My energy is back...in fact, I took an ambien and went to bed at 9:30 last night...dog woke me up at 4 am for a potty run and when I crawled back into bed, I couldn't fall back to sleep. I tried though...

                          So...if that energy keeps up, I will try the whole AM workout thing again next week. This week I just didn't have it in me! I tried monday...but felt horrible. It's almost 9am right now and I feel peppy...nice!

                          Successfully did Atkins in 1998 using 1992 copy of the book...before it was "hip". Lost 60lbs, exercised daily, felt and looked great. And then I moved in with a junk-food loving man, my mom got sick and passed away, then I suffered a spinal cord injury, and junk-food dude left me...and now I weigh 292lbs. That's 22lbs MORE than I weighed the first time around. It's 10 years later...I know this will work for me again.

                            I have had a stressfull week and I am glad it will be over today. I have a lot to do today and working with my new person is hard. I have to be patient and not loose my head with people.

                              Happy Friday everyone! Tonight is going to be my first "Show my Willpower" outing, because my husband and I are going out to eat at this great restaurant (with like 50 beers on tap). But I'm going to be incredibly studious and have a delicious steak with veg, booya!
