  • Help Getting Started!!

    Hello,

    I have done Atkins before and received excellent results. I lost 16
    pounds in 2 weeks and was down to 167. Now I am up to 180. At
    least that is what I weighed a few weeks ago. I really want to
    get started on Atkins but I can't find the time or energy. I am
    going to be starting a new job on nights and I don't know what I can
    eat at that time. I am so worried about bad breath since I will be
    talking to doctors, nurses and patients. Any help or encouragement
    would be great!

    Please I need help and guidance. I don't know where to do start.

    Extra water will help with the breath. If it doesn't, who cares. Your health and well being are important. As far as food goes, find portable high fat low carb foods for at work. Cheese sticks, pepperoni, and beef jerky are all good options. Eat a good meal before work, graze on the portable good stuff, pack a good lunch, and graze more until you go home. Everyone where I work is amazed that I'm losing weight because I eat constantly throughout the day. Every two hours I have something. I also get a gallon of water in at work. I usually pack a few small bowls of my super fiber chili, some meat from the night before's dinner, and a few cheese sticks. Once you get to the nut rung you can bring in healthy nuts like pecans, almonds, and macadamias for variety. Good luck, and good choice to come back.

      You know, i can taste the bad breath but I've never actually had anyone recoil in disgust while I was talking to them....You'll be fine. good luck.

        I keep sf gum/mints handy and I use them before meetings. Being a sales person I learned long ago that you don't want to offend a potential customer.

        Also you could get fresh mint and suck on a leaf after your meals.
