    It sucks that you didn't get Cracker Barrell. :-( The one here in Commerce doesn't have the low carb menu specifically, anymore, but you can still order low carb stuff. I get the sides and give them to my husband. Also, be careful, because they call it "low carb" toast but I checked and it's just whole wheat toast so it still has a lot of carbs.

    As for ChicFilA, good job leaving the breaded chix alone. That's hard, isn't it? I've had people ask me why I can't just peel off the breading. I haven't checked on this but I'm a little suspicious of their chix anyway. Doesn't it taste like it's been injected or marinated in something with sugar?? I haven't had the grilled chix. Does it taste a little sweet? Anyway...good choices, Sandy. you are just trucking on down the ticker. Inspirational...
    No there chicken doesn't taste sweet to me.. I also ordered a sandwich and took the chicken off and added it to my salad... It was filling...

        Sandy, check out the ChicFilA website. They have their nutritional info and ingredients. Their chargrilled chix has "special seasonings" and the number one ingredient is sugar...:-(

        I love ChicFilA. Especially those waffle fries so that's why I don't go!!!

                Please don't get me wrong--I'm not trying to get picky with your menu. I promise. I'm sure the amount of sugar is negligible. I was looking it up for myself more than for you. ChicFilA's are notoriously good supporters of schools and we are forever having some kind of ChicFilA at school as there is one a couple of miles away.

                I've been wondering if it was worth it or not. Probably on maintenance for me. Not now as I'd like to lose another six,seven, eight pounds.

                  Kelly, I checked the carb count on the teriyaki. It has two grams per tablespoon, and a cup is 16 tablespoons. I used 6 thighs when I did this, so 32 grams/6 thighs is slightly more than 5 per thigh. Now, I also read that when you use marinades, you are not actually consuming the marinade as a whole, and only count it as half to be safe. This puts you at 2 1/2 per thigh, very acceptable for the resulting yumminess. I'd like to copyright the term "yumminess", but you all can use it free of charge. I hope that satisfies the "menu police". Just kidding, referencing the above thread.

                    That sounds acceptable to me, as well. Yumminess. I will try them in the crockpot. Another question about that, though. Everytime I cook chicken in the crockpot, it comes out almost dissolved. So how am I supposed to broil it? In one giant heap? Give me your clues, hints, secrets to cooking chicken in a crock pot to where it keeps its shape enough to put on a pan and broil to resulting yumminess.

                              I'm checking in after a long day. Everytime I get on here I manage to get hungry. All those mouthwatering dishes that everyone fixes and talks about. I just never was much for cooking, but I really need to try some of the things mentioned. It was a beautiful day today, 62 degrees and sunshine. I can't take a walk where I have to take care of my parents, but I did go outside everytime that I could. It felt wonderful after the long cold winter. Here's to more sunshine!!!

                                Tomorrow is my weigh in day...and it's not looking good. I'm not sure what the problem is...I'm definitely in ketosis every day this week. I'm a little dissapointed...but one thing I know is that even if I don't lose more weight (which I doubt will happen), I plan on sticking cuz I just feel better. It's gotta come off eventually, right?

                                I just ordered a chair aerobics video from Amazon on demand...if it downloads to my tivo right (so far I have my doubts) I'll give it a try tomorrow morning. I've been doing sort of a seated tae bo type thing...but getting bored with it. We'll see how this video works. Wish I could do some of the new dancing ones I've seen infomercials for, but I don't have that kind of use of my legs *sigh* I used to love dancing.

                                Today I made a spaghetti sauce...which was pretty high in carbs with all the tomato sauce....and I made a spaghetti squash...which is higher carb than I anticipated. Loved it though...but the combo pretty much maxed me out

                                Successfully did Atkins in 1998 using 1992 copy of the book...before it was "hip". Lost 60lbs, exercised daily, felt and looked great. And then I moved in with a junk-food loving man, my mom got sick and passed away, then I suffered a spinal cord injury, and junk-food dude left me...and now I weigh 292lbs. That's 22lbs MORE than I weighed the first time around. It's 10 years later...I know this will work for me again.
