    Good Morning Everyone, Happy Grey's Day!

    Anyone here from Julie yet, she must be really sick.

    No weight loss or gain to report yet again. I'm getting sick too. I think I have a couple of pounds of crap in my lungs, so a whooshie is in my future. I'm going to increase my water if possible to get over this cold in a hurry. No working out until I can breathe again.

    Loopie, that Atkins Advantage book from your yesterday post was written after his death. I wouldn't say it's useless, but it's not his work. Take it with a grain of salt.

    Hope everyone else is feeling better than I am.

    I've not heard of this All New Atkins Advantage. What kind of crap are they trying to pull over at the Atkins Center now???

    It rained yesterday and the puddles were full of pollen. No wonder everyone is sick. A lot of it will get washed away in the rain of the next few days.

    So, our school cafeteria is making chef salads today for lunch. The last time we had them they were really good so I'm excited!!! (school teachers are really weird, yes?)

    oh, and TJ, that pizza crust looks just so awesome and so much easier than the cauliflower crust. THANKS!!!

      Good Morning.. I am sitting here fighting with myself about going to aerobics.. I wanted to do Monday, Wednesday, Friday this week but the pool will be closed on Friday...for repairs... There is a Saturday morning class that I wouldn't mind trying...but its possible the pool might not be open that day...because of what is being done on Friday...

      Kelly.. My daughters school just added a Salad bar there..and she is going to try it today.. There is fruit on it also.. My daughter LOVES salads

      Other then that.. Hoping the scale is kind to be me on Sunday.. I need an encouraging boost

        Good morning everyone,
        group hug for all enjoy your low carb day. Taking a day off from the tread mill. I have walked a mile a day since saturday. I am soooooo happy with myself. Walking to the mailbox use to be the most exercise i got

        weight loss has stopped not sure if its the treadmill or i need to move to OWL. I found drinking water out of a straw goes down better and i got 96 ounces in yesterday. Most of the time i can barely make the 64.
        toodles have a wonderful day everyone.

        May the whoosh fairy bless you ,and the scale be kind and in the mirror you have a smaller behind.

              I have had the worst cold I have had in awhile. I have stuck to the WOE but feel I haven't eaten enough each day - feel kind of blah but at least I didn't cheat

                I've been hopping back and forth between the same 2 lbs for the last 8 days (all my second week) and i'm starting to get annoyed because my numbers are all good, my waters better than good, and i'm working out every day. I chunked my scale high up in the closet lol so it can't stare at me anymore, i'll fish it back out on the 1st.

                Yesterday we had a huge hail storm here around Austin. People had their windows busted out on the highway and such. We had to run outside and bring our cars into the garage, and jeez those hails hurt! Our backyard is on a golf course and it looked like a million golf balls were out there. We took pictures and I stuck one of the bigger hail balls I saw in the freezer lol

                  Kibskix...that's crazy about the hail! You should post a photo!

                  Magicmarq and TJ...hope you feel better soon. I'm pretty sure the crap in your lungs will show on the scale cuz I think that's the best explanation for the 1/2 pound gain I had last week.

                  NewtoAtkins...I can't wait to hear your results! I wish I was in a contest like that...so motivating! Money wouldn't be bad, either! LOL

                  As for me...my scale said 279 again today...I hope I can keep it at LEAST that low for my official weigh in on Monday!

                  I went to Outback Steakhouse for dinner last night. I started with an apetizer of medium hot wings with no breading...omg...I'm in love! I honestly could have made that my whole meal (it was 5 wings) but I had ordered a chicken dish with a side of broccoli...I ate about 1/4 of the chicken and a piece of broccoli and I was done...so guess what I'm having for lunch today! Wohoo!!! LOL

                  I finished up my spaghetti squash and meat sauce yesterday and am blue that I can't have it again today. It was so dang good! And...I think adding squash to my diet every day has had a very positive impact on my...err...output. Just makes "things" easier...ya know? Maybe it's time to add pumpkin for the same effect.

                  Oh...and last note. I worked out again today! I punched out 13 minutes on the eliptical! MOST SO FAR! I have to be careful cuz my legs get so weak it becomes dangerous for me to get off the dang machine let alone walk across the room...but man...13 minutes kicks BOOTY for me! Of course that wasn't going very fast and was on the lowest setting...so all I kept thinking was that I had lots of room for improvement once I master 30 minutes at level 1! This is very exciting for me. It's the most consistently I've exercised since I've been injurred...and it's the BIGGEST improvement I've had...in SEVEN YEARS of injury!

                  (Just as a basis of comparison...when I started using the eliptical this summer, I could only do 4 minutes before my leg muscles gave out).

                  Successfully did Atkins in 1998 using 1992 copy of the book...before it was "hip". Lost 60lbs, exercised daily, felt and looked great. And then I moved in with a junk-food loving man, my mom got sick and passed away, then I suffered a spinal cord injury, and junk-food dude left me...and now I weigh 292lbs. That's 22lbs MORE than I weighed the first time around. It's 10 years later...I know this will work for me again.

                    kibskix, I know what you mean about wavering between two pounds, it's so frustrating. But like you said, we just need to not worry about the daily number.

                    Great job, rajenki! You show that elliptical who's boss.

                    I would like to join the Sick Pity Party group, although I'm almost over my cold. Still coughing up new and exciting colors, though, which is always a treat.

                      Well, I weighed in wearing my heaviest clothes and forgot to empty my pockets...which equaled NO loss on the scale this week.
                      The girl who was in second place lost 4 pounds.

                      Final Results:
                      Her: 10.457% lost
                      Me: 10.658% lost

                      I beat her by 1/5 of a percent, and the $230 is mine!!! I'm going to give her $50 so that she can go out to dinner and celebrate, but the rest is going in my wallet!!!
