    Good Morning Everyone! I have been up since 4am today... I woke up hot, the dog was hogging the bed and I just could not go back to sleep.

    Last night the kids and I went out for Mexican.. It was my daughter and her boyfriend..her boyfriend works at this Mexican restaurant but he broke his ankle so he is off for a few weeks... I told the lady I was on a special diet and I wanted Texas Fajitas (Shrimp, Steak and Chicken) with NO beans, and No Tortilla's.. She said do you want a Salad? I said sure! I also asked can I have double Sour Cream and no guacamole(SP?) cause I really don't like it. First time I have actually ate the whole meal and that is because I didn't fill up on Chips!...lol

    What is funny is this time around with Atkins I don't feel deprived like I normally have done...It just feels like a part of life...

    I might go to aerobics again today...I have to call the Y to see if the pool is open and make sure it doesn't have a big chemical smell..they worked on it yesterday...

    morning everyone, this is gonna be a tough day. I am taking my son to the movies and well movie popcorn is my criptonite (sp?). I dont go to the movies often i think maybe 1 a year because hes autistic and doesnt do well there but they just opened up a special showing for special needs kids they can be themselves and no one will give us dirty looks it will be nice to fit in out in public. i just hope i can stay away from that popcorn. wish me luck

      Good morning everyone!

      I have a full day of housework planned for today. Looks like we will be getting hit by the big storm today that messed with Texas. Large hail forecasted. So far it's just cloudy and windy, but my daughter's soccer game is in about 2 hours. It'll probably get crappy out as soon as we get to the game.

        Good morning Stacers!

        It's still cold here and we have no heat because our boiler system is down. We worked on it for 13 hours yesterday and still aren't done. Its a big system because we have a big house and it also heats the pool. The bright side is, it didn't break down in the dead of winter!

          Mornin all!

          I have a lot to do today and barely motivated to do half of it I've been up since 6am and havent gotten a thing done yet.

          I need to stay focused on exercise this weekend- I wanted to start a walking routine in addition to strength training & Pilates. I definately need the cardio to keep the furnace burning all this extra "fuel" I have lol

          I can relate to Sandy and not feeling deprived - sometimes I would go on plan and get pissy I couldnt have the foods my thin family members and friends can eat without worry. I have yet to feel that this time around...

          BBerry - we had our furnace shut down in the middle of the night last fall and were without heat for almost 24 hours, it wasnt pleasant Good luck getting things warmed up again.

          TFek that happens to us all the time with sports - we go through the motions of getting the kids ready - out to the field - THEN they cancel the game or practice.

          That's enough yapping for today - I'm procrastinating on getting my chores done! LOL

            Happy Saturday, all you great Atkineers!

            We're watching the skies here ... big storm system wrecking havoc in the South; supposed to get thunderstorms tonight. With Spring, tornadoes are always in the back of your mind ... FL gets quite a few of 'em.

            Otherwise, a pretty quiet day planned. Had a good walk around 6 a.m.; the rest of the neighborhood still in bed. Love that time of day!

              Morning everyone! I have an endless list of things to do today starting with a Mom to Mom sale! I love those! Then shopping (grocery and clothes) Then a horseback riding lessons for my stepson, then an 18th birthday party for a co workers daughter. Phew. I better get moving!

              Ratucker - I think thats awesome and I hope you have a wonderful time with your son. Just stay away from the evil popcorn!

                Nice day here so I'll get out for a walk. Only plan for the day is to go to step daughters school play. A day of R & R is needed!

                  So, it's finally Saturday!! I didn't do much around the house last night so today, I'll pay!! Just a quick check in. I'm holding this morning at 197 and I'm in the weigh, no way challenge so I won't be able to update until next weekend. I'm looking forward to a good week. Going to amp up the exercise and hope for a break from the rain!!! UGH, this rain!!! Hope you all have a great day and stay on plan!!

                    GIRL!!! Take legal foods with you! I see you're still in extended induction. I was on Rung 3 before I'd venture into the theater. I took almonds. Trust me, I searched and there was NOTHING there for me at all!!! Beef jerky without sugar, if you can find some. Celery cut into bite size pieces....you still get some crunch!! Stay strong, the smell of the popcorn is overwhelming!! Boiled eggs, deviled eggs......

                      Saturday! 6th day of induction but I am on alert, I always have a harder time when my DH is home, he can eat whatever he wants and it's been our tradition to eat unhealthy on weekends. I also have a solo performance today (I play flute) with a reception of carboliciousness after. I am prepared with chicken leftovers from last night and a low carb wrap to take with me, if I'm not hungry it won't be to bad!

                        Happy Sauturday STAC'ers

                        I am so happy last week is over. I am still fighting the flue but the Z-Pack has helped. I am feeling much better-just the sinus infection is still lingering.

                        I weighed in this AM... -3 woohoo. I wasn't sure what I would loose since I haven't been eating as good as I normally do. In fact I didn't eat any veggis yesterday (not like me). Just the timing was bad. My husband made a great minced salad but I was already full off of meat loaf. I skipped lunch all together and only had sausage for breaky.

                        We did go to the market and I stocked up on fresh veg yesterday after noon so I am good to go for this week. I am so busy that I have to plan well. This coming week should be a little easier than last week, but the following week will be crazy again.

                        My knee blew up on me Thursday again... It is killing me and swollen pretty badly again. I just want it to get better. I am afraid I will have this for the rest of my life.

                        Loopie- good luck with your performance and good job with induction. My husband is frying potatoes right now so I completely understand about the weekend thing. I usually use the weekend to make my vegi soup, cheese cake muffins or other special foods.

                        TJ- I asked when are you going to have a talk to my husband about doing the housework...Sooo when?? Have fun at the soccer game.

                            Today is my Day 11 and my 3 day stall/gain is over! I'm down a pound! So happy day for me!

                            I'm getting close to my first mini-goal. Today, I have to get ready for company tomorrow, and I'm also hoping to take a nice walk.

                              I read something the other day about why if you weigh once a week, it should be Monday. That keeps you on the straight and narrow over the weekend.
