    Congrats to all you LOSERS! I am a gainer today, back to 197, but I blame it on the pickles and ham. I hit the gym for an hour this morning and might squeeze in an hour of cardio tonight. I also played baseball with my son's team for a few hours this afternoon. There was a decent bit of running involved with that evolution.

    I found out today that I probably don't need a new roof for $7-11K that I don't have. I have a contractor that is fixing everything for $1k, which will hurt, but I can still eat. It was just amazing how much the roof quotes varied by. I had three roofing companies quote me from 7 to 11 grand for a roof, all saying I needed a new one. I had a general contractor tell me I didn't need a new one, and just some repairs. I'm selling next year when I retire, so I just need to stay dry til I sell.

    I made some buffalo chicken strips for lunch and we are grilling pork chops for dinner. I'm trying to watch my salt intake today and get rid of some water weight I put on yesterday. Perhaps it's time for some Michelob therapy, I haven't had a beer in a few weeks. I bet two would be helpful.

      I'm still here. I have been reading the book and I am finding so much I didn't know the last time. Understanding the science behind the Atkins lifestyle will help keep me on track!

        Hi, all!! I'm sitting here listening to the thunder roll. It has been a beautiful day here, now comes the storms. Tomorrow it's supposed to start snowing again. I just wish Winter was over. Now to the good news! I got up this morning to a 2 pound whoosh!! yay!! I put on a pair of capris that were tight last summer, and now they just about fall off! It feels so good! My brother told me that when I am to goal, we will go shopping and he will buy me a whole new wardrobe. Thank God for brothers, cause I couldn't buy them myself!! Well, congrats to all the losers! And to ALL of us for having such wonderful friends on this board.

          Hi Kerri nice to meet you! I am a compulsive on and offer too. I'm not sure as to why I keep going on and off the lifestyle of Atkins. The only thing I can do is keep trying. Last time around I got a bunch of flack from some ladies on the ediet board because I was doing Atkins and they all wanted to tell me how unhealthy it was to do. The one thing I keep coming back to is the way I FEEL when I am doing Atkins. I don't have bloating or pain and I actually eat less because I feel full all of the time. So why do I keep starting and stopping? Until I get to the bottom of that question I am not sure I will stick with it this time either. So right now my main focus is to get started again and when those feelings of wanting to quit come up I am really going to have to pay close attention to what is going on. Am I under stress? Am I bored? all of the above?
          Have any of you gone through this? I want to be able to stick with this and make the change.
