  • Roll Call 4/6/09 Monday!

    Good Morning Everyone! Guess I will start the Roll Call... I have a busy day..

    I have to go to the Ortho at 9, Chiro at 10 and then head to my new job... I am nervous..

    I fixed a Breakfast Quiche for all week so I have an easy breakfast... Today I am going to take a Salad for lunch...

    I am only working 4 or 5 hours so I will be good with just a salad

    Good Morning! I had last week off for spring break so I am back to work today! We went to the beach yesterday and both my son and I are burnt to a crisp! Sandy, your morning sounds like my last week. The only day I didn't have a appt was Monday! Was hoping I could put in a few applications at various places but not too many jobs out there! We are having major lay offs where I work at. I feel like I am on american idol when Thursday / Friday comes and I am safe for another week! Hope everyone has a good Monday! Everyone continue to think positive! We can do this!

      Good Afternoon everyone! It's a beautiful, sunny day here in Germany and I will be enjoying it with the kids outside later on today.

      I've been missing the boards for the past few weeks! The kids ended up sick... AGAIN! It's been pretty much a recurring thing since November. My kids seem to be taking turns every week and I'm hoping they will soon stay healthy, since the warm weather is here now! So, with that being said, I've had to put off any challenges that I signed up for last month and even put off going to the gym. I was probably at the gym a total of a week last month, and that isn't good at all! So, I'm hoping this month will be different, especially since I need to start buckling up and get some weight loss done before July! I'm hoping to be in Onederland by that time!

        Sandy, I must have missed a posting. Last I heard you didn't get the trailer park job, but sounds like you got something else. Congrats! I retire next year and get to find a real job too. Hopefully there will be some.

        Not too much going on here. My son has a ball game tonight and my daughter has soccer practice. Looks like my wife and I will have to divide and conquer unless the rain continues. Stay focused everyone!

          Good morning STACers! I am busy today too! I have to go to the grocery store now and later I will be babysitting my granddaughter.

          I'm still maintaining and doing well although I still need to lose 8 pounds to goal.

            Morning all! It's snowing here in beautiful Michigan, I guess mother nature didn't get the memo that its APRIL. Grrrr. I'm not weighing because it's the dreaded TOM....phooey. Hope everyone has a great day...without SNOW.

              Happy Monday STAC'ers

              It is cold this morning, but it will warm up today (enough to get the roads messy). I just love break up time (sarcasm). The snow and ice make such a nasty mess.

              I have a very busy day planned and even more so tomorrow. Sunday was great. I got a lot of exercise and went out to eat with several of my friends. I did not get home till evening.

              Sandy- congrats on the job I must have missed that post as well.

              I too am feeling a little bloated. I think my body is trying to do the TOM even if I wont let it. Just stay off the scale for a week and you will feel better

                Its cold here today too, and i'm in texas!! well its 40 degrees which is probably not very cold to some of you yankees but its frickin freezing to me, especially for april.
                I just want to do a happy dance, because after quite a struggle with PISS my 2-3 weeks, I'm down a little over 4 pounds in the last 7 days!! *dancedance* tom is due next week though, so i'll celebrate while I can, i'm sure you'll see me in here next week whining about a gain lol

                  Hey all. I didn't get around to posting yesterday...kept pretty busy. I got up, did a workout, drove an hour out to spend the day with a friend, then drove home and went to see Fast and Furious with another friend...and then straight to bed. It was a great day.

                  I'm up a few pounds on the scale. I started taking 1/2 my water pill dosage because of electrolyte problems last week and it's showing. I'm not going to sweat it...but friday's weigh in might not be pretty. I'm going to the cardiologist today to get hooked up for a 48 hour heart monitor. There's some scary stuff going on. I'm having these episodes in the AM after waking that I can't explain. Now watch...it probably won't happen while I have the monitor on. It did happen this morning...but it's the first time since last monday.

                  Loopie...I haven't read the book in years, but I remember how understanding the science totally made it easier to do the plan. I'm doing fine with the plan now, but I bet I could use a refresher.

                  Debby...welcome back to you as well. I'm right with you in knowing for MYSELF how this WOE makes me FEEL...and knowing how carbs make me feel like poo...but I've fallen off of false-re-starts many many times over the years. I'm going strong right now (5 weeks in) but I couldn't tell you what makes this time different than any other. The most important thing is to do a clean induction to get past the cravings. All whole and natural foods...no atkins shakes or bars or anything. Life is easier when you get past the cravings!

                  And from today...

                  Hey Becky...I'm a Becki too! Your job sounds like mine right now. It's so sad to watch my company go through this. I've been here almost 12 years and have never seen anything like this.

And then I moved in with a junk-food loving man, my mom got sick and passed away, then I suffered a spinal cord injury, and junk-food dude left me...and now I weigh 292lbs. That's 22lbs MORE than I weighed the first time around. It's 10 years later...I know this will work for me again.

                      Off to a great start for a Monday! I should have gone out for my walk/run this morning.. looks like it’s going to pour here the rest of the day. I’m sore from all the yard work yesterday so I only did a 20 min Biggest Losers sculpting session. I always feel like only doing 20 mins of a workout is slacking off – but I just don’t have time to do an hour or more everyday ={{

                      Food is on track, weight and measurements are shifting in the right direction and I feel great J

                        Did an hour on the treadmill , got cracked at the chiropractor's and got home just ahead of the rain ... unusual to be getting a cold front this time of year (30s tomorrow night!).

                          Just got the results from my blood test friday when I was sure I was having electrolyte issues....my potassium is down, AGAIN...I wish I understood why my body won't hang onto this stuff! I was already on 2 supplements twice a day, now he wants me on 3 twice a day. My magnesium was low, too, but he just gave me a list of magnesium rich foods to eat. Looks like I'll be eating some spinach!

                          Now I have to wear this monitor thingy for the next couple of days...no showers. As creepy as my little morning episodes are, I hope I have one in the next 48 hours so we can rule out a heart issue.

                            Hello Everyone!

                            I'm feeling great - I hit my second mini-goal this weekend - I'm offically at 200lbs!!!

                            Soon I'll be in one-derland!

                            And - while I'm tooting my own horn - I've been cheat free for 95 days!!!! Yippie!!

                            I haven't been on the board for a few days... we had a beautiful weekend that I filled with fun things like a walk on the seawall with my honey and shopping for home decor things for one of my clients. Then in the evenings I've been painting some canvases. Loving life!!

                            Becki-girl... take it easy! I'm sorry to hear that you have challenging health issues!! But when you were sharing your news I also heard a strong, capable woman... you're going to do well!!

                            Today, after work, I'm walking to the train - about an hour-long walk!!

                            Hope everyone is having a great, cheat-free day!

                              Tori...I'm not too far from you. I went to school in Bellingham and visited Vancouver far more often then I probably should have (had friends at UBC and adored the beaches up there). I used to LOVE riding my bike along the seawall. Good times!
