    Good morning, everyone! Just a quickie check in. Thinking about weighing in later. I feel like I'm hitting a good groove with the losses and I'm going to push it while my body is willing and the scale is generous. Hope all of you have a wonderful day! The weekend is on the way!!!

        Hi everyone.. I am still on track.. Gotta plan some meals to be ready easily when I get home...cause I am really hungry when I get here.. So that is on my plan this week before I go grocery shopping for this week...

          Good morning! So you can all ignore my complaining yesterday. I cut out my afternoon pepperoni going with the theory that I was taking in too much sodium and retaining water and guess what? The scale dropped 4 pounds today! YEAH! I feel so releived. So Im on plan, on track and happily heading to my goal weight eating yummy food! Thank you Dr. Atkins!!!!

          Heading to DMV today. Even the long lines cant damper my good mood today!!!!

              Hello All!

              I am struggling to get my butt outside and do some cardio in the morning. I know this is something I have to do and I dont like going after work - roads are busy with cars etc. It's so much more pleasant & relaxing at 6am

              lol Cabo Pepperoni is my enemy as well! Now if I have some I know better than to get on the scale for a day or two after.. and I drink a ton of water.

              Sandy I am like that when I get home from work as well - I usually have a cheese stick or couple slices of turkey to tide me over until I cook dinner.

              Gratz on your loss Judy!!

              I am going to make a commitment to myself to do at least 3 hours of Cardio between now and next Wed!! It's a start

                    Morning all! I didn't get a chance to check in yesterday, busy busy. I don't have anything really exciting or interesting to report, just truckin along. It's TOM so no weighing for me. It's actually kind nice, not to worry about it for right now.

                        The scale is still headed in the wrong direction. As of this morning I'm really close to being back at 280! I took my regular dose of water pills yesterday AND wore my ugly old compression stockings and my ankles are still puffy.

                        Seriously...I hate my body sometimes.

                        I scheduled a physical therapy appointment for today because of my horrendous hip pain I've been experiencing after exercise. However...I haven't exercised since Sunday because of the heart monitor/no shower thing and now...no flippin hip pain! NATURALLY! Oh...and this morning was the last morning of the heart monitor and no creepy episode...so I probably wore it for nothing.

                        I'm THIS close to going home and crawling into bed! I'd give anything to spend the day elevating my legs.

                        Successfully did Atkins in 1998 using 1992 copy of the book...before it was "hip". Lost 60lbs, exercised daily, felt and looked great. And then I moved in with a junk-food loving man, my mom got sick and passed away, then I suffered a spinal cord injury, and junk-food dude left me...and now I weigh 292lbs. That's 22lbs MORE than I weighed the first time around. It's 10 years later...I know this will work for me again.

                          I got the results of my lipid panel back yesterday and the results were not what we were hoping for. My pre-atkins total cholesterol was 172. After 10 weeks, it went down to 137. Two months later (last week) it was up to 202. My doc and I are both hoping it was an anamoly, so I fasted last night and was retested again this morning. I will have the results on Friday. I was sooooooooo disappointed, because I spent the last two months eating insane amounts of fiber and working out like a madman to get my HDL numbers up. They did go up from 29 to 37, so I had a small vicotry. 40 is the number I need to hit to get out of the "poor" category, 60 is optimal and what I'm shooting for. If I could just get that number to 60, and I will, and get my total back to where it was, I will be optimal for everything. I have a serious history of heart disease on both sides of my family, so hitting the optimal numbers is very important to me. Hopefully I will be full of good news on Friday. Right now I am pretty bummed out.

                            I haven't lost any weight in 2 days and went up a pound the other day, I'm not discouraged just looking at what I'm doing wrong.
                            I seriously won't over eat today.
                            I'm going on a fat fast beginning today, I know I will gain back half once I go back on induction.

                              Ummm......I hate to play Atkins Cop here, since I bend the rules pretty frequently, but a fat fast for someone 4 days into induction is pretty crazy. I don't see the wisdom in it.
