So this, for all intents and purposes, is not my second time; more like my 10th time - I find it very hard to be dieting in a household where no one else is.
But, this time I'm feeling much more motivated, nearly as much as the first time around. In the last 3/4 years, I've put on everything I lost and then some. I originally started at 220lb and dropped to 160lb and kept it off for about 3 years and man, did I feel great! I felt attractive, I could run for miles, I could dance into the night! Buuuut, then I got all domesticated, got comfortable, and then veeeeery comfortable. We both did. Then the scale said to me: 240lb.
So now I've been going for 7 days and already down 8lbs. This weekend I'm going to join LA Fitness which is right across the street from my house. I have a treadmill at home, but it's so much more motivating being around other people exercising instead of someone vegging on the couch watching tv in the other room. The first time I was successful I was dieting with someone, so we motivated each other, but these last million times I've been going it alone. Anyone got any advise that might help me stay motivated and continue trucking with someone in the house who eats like I used to? The pizzas and pastas and fresh breads and red wines are, well, very tempting!
