    Good EARLY morning, everyone! Sleep pattern is a little off last night/this morning!

    Have a full day today and NO WORK involved. I'm going to the eye doctor this morning. I've had vision insurance for 10 years and I've gone for a checkup only once before. I've had increasing difficulty seeing the monitor lately. No doubt at all it's because I use a computer at work all day and then come home and get on ADBB. Too much time in front of a monitor all the way around. I must say though, both parents, all grandparents and aunts and uncles have glasses. So...just a little family history leads me to believe my time has come!

    After the eye doctor, my son, my mom and I have to go for a drive about an hour and a half away for my little man to see his dentist. My son has had strep throat this week. NOT fun. I've been really healthy since restarting Atkins. Haven't been sick yet. I try to eat the veggies, down the water and take vitamins. Mom was awesome and kept my son while he was really sick so I could work and not get sick! So, today the already sick child is getting 2 teeth pulled. Tonight should be a little stressful.

    I'm packing lots of food to take with me. At some point, my mom and son are going to want to eat at some wonderful place I can't! It's a full day! Just to be nice to me, I plan on stopping at a few stores and buying some smaller sizes of things I really need. I hope I find selection. It would be nice to have some bras and undies that actually fit. If I were in an accident, the emergency room staff would think I was wearing someone else's clothes! They're falling off of me...

    All OK here. I had a pizza omelette for breakfast and will be heading off for aqua aerobics shortly. I haven't been to that class before - the instructor is tough so I can't imagine it will be a walk in the park... or swim in the pool!

      Good morning STACers!

      I haven't been on the board for 2 days because it's been crazy around here. And I'm not sure how much time I will have until Sunday or Monday but I'll try to spend some time here everyday.

      I'm still on plan and doing fine so all the parties haven't derailed me. I'll be spending all day today cleaning for a big party on Saturday and then going to another one on Sunday!

      I have an appointment first thing this morning to have the windshield replaced in the car. A stone hit it and made a small hole in it and then on a cold morning when dh turned the defrosters on, it cracked the whole way across! So that will be fixed today.

        Good morning all! My new laptop came in the mail yesterday and I'm lovin' it. I bought my last laptop in 04 when I started my Masters program. It's amazing how much cheaper and how much faster they are five short years later.

        The keyboard is just a smidge different. It has a numeric keypad on it and it throws me off so sometimes I type like this:
        yjru nrdy yjonmhom jr ept; odg Thank God for backspace.

        But I got the Toshiba 17" and it is unbelievable. It's almost the same size as the flatscreen tv in my office. I just love it.

        So, I've been doing an hour on treadmill instead of a half an hour and putting a tiny little bit of running in spurts in that. Hoping to jumpstart my metabolism which seemed to have died last year on April 30 when I gave up the smokes. (Ev, TJ, that's almost ONE YEAR!!! WOoHoo)

        Hope everyone has a thoroughly productive day!

          Mornin All..

          Why do I feel guilty if I take a rest day from exercising? It's maddening! I feel my body needs a day off.. but my mind is screaming .. no no no!!

          Feeling great.. and doing all the right things... and damn happy it's Thursday!!

              Good Morning.. I don't go into work until 11 today.. I am glad I need a break.. I am just not eating right..or enough.. I don't know what I am going to do... I need stuff that I can snack on through out the day.. Like yesterday no one came to releave me until 2:30 so I could go across the street and heat my food.. Dumb me forgot that I took Tuna Fish for lunch...lol I had green beans that I heated too...

              I should have went to water aerobics this morning.. I miss it...but I just don't have a lot of time .. We are talking about my schedule today and I am going to ask her to work me 4 days...or 6 hours a day...so I can have some time for me...

                I work nights so Im just going to bed. I think the diet is going ok so far.....I hope I can do it!

                  I'm here...weighed in today at 275.5...a 9 pound loss this week! I'm feeling good, eating well, and drinking a lot of water. I am now 1.5 pounds away from losing a total of 50....can't wait to make THAT post.
                  BUUUUT all in good time. I know it could possibly take a week or two before I see that number on the scale.

                    Good morning, I have never posted here before.

                    I started the first rung on Tuesday, I am very frustrated that the scale has not moved - but I have lost 8.5 inches - which I am pretty excited about.

                    Going to do pilates and weights today and study for most of the day - not too exciting!

                      hallelujah, i'm finally losing again!
                      i guess it was all that spinnach keeping me from losing cause once i figured that out it wasn't on the 2-3 list (der) and went back to lettuce yesterday, i woke up a little over half a pound lighter! its very nice to see after 4 or 5 days of nothing!

                      i'm pretty nervous about this coming weekend. its the bf's birthday and i'm going to have to be away from home for 2 days. which means none of my planned out food and not my kitchen and not my stuff. i'm thinking i might just have to cook a whole load of food and bring it with me. oh! and then i have to go out to dinner w/ his parents to papadeux's. i hate eating out these days, i never trust whats in the food. but i'm rude if i don't go. sigh...

                          Happy Thursday STAC'ers!

                          I have another busy day. I need to get some serious work completed on the computer. Our company has had a lot of issues lately and we work off of a remote server so it has been a tad frusterating to say the least. My new co-worker is very nice but she never shuts up.... She needs to shut up and listen to me and I do not want to say "shut up and listen" but I almost did yesterday..

                          I took my older favorite dog to the vet yesterday and today I have to drop him off for a small emergency surgery. I am a little stressed out he may have cancer he is only 5. My younger dog is also going in for his hips and elbow xray so this week is ending up expensive.

                          Hubby and I have plans to go to the gym again tonight. I am still doing well on my induction week. I am craving vegi soup though. I will try to make a pot of it for the weekend. I just had scrambled eggs, chopped ham, and canned green chillie with 1 oz of cheddar cheese.

                              Happy Thursday!

                              I finally get to weigh in tomorrow morning...can't wait to make an official recording for a loss this week, which I'm really hoping for! I've been very good I think...but this WOE makes that pretty dang easy. The hardest thing is eating enough!

                              I went to the gym last night, I did 6 minutes on a treadmill with no increased HR and a horrendous gate pattern. UGH...I could have gone longer but my gate kept getting worse and worse. Somehow I've backslid on my walking ability. So then I tried the pool for the first time. Swimming with no hamstrings and adductors is an interesting experience. I really hadn't been in a pool since I first started learning to walk again back in 2002, it seems not much has changed. Did you know you can't flutter kick without hamstrings and adductors? And...you can't frog-leg without adductors...so wth? My legs just float off to the sides and do their own thing. It's a good thing I'm buoyant. I can't walk fast enough to get my heart rate up in the pool, either. So...I found a couple of ridiculous looking "swimming" techniques that I'll use that did manage to get my heart rate into the 125+ area, so I'll do more of that. I'll give another test run Friday or Saturday to see what else I can come up with. It was fun, but disappointing in the "serious workout" department. I was hoping this was going to be the answer to my exercise dilemma. Maybe it still is...we'll see over time. It was nice to get in there and do some stretches and practice some moves I can't do on land...so from a therapy stand point, I'll keep at it.

                              Last night I had my favorite "mockaroni and cheese with hot dogs" for dinner instead of the cheese burger. Today has me traveling up to Seattle and back after a dental cleaning...I'm not exactly sure what to do about lunch because I'll be on the move. Breaky was bacon and eggs.

                              Successfully did Atkins in 1998 using 1992 copy of the book...before it was "hip". Lost 60lbs, exercised daily, felt and looked great. And then I moved in with a junk-food loving man, my mom got sick and passed away, then I suffered a spinal cord injury, and junk-food dude left me...and now I weigh 292lbs. That's 22lbs MORE than I weighed the first time around. It's 10 years later...I know this will work for me again.
