  • Sneaks on in shame!

    Hi all,

ive come back to this diet again because i know this is the only one that works for me. Since last time trying to lose weight and losing a st ive put on that st and added another 1 too it the carbs must hate me or something.

anyway this is my 4th day in induction and it was bumpy but i think im gonna be ok again. just wish i wasnt always tempted.

I think the only way to approach things is to look at this as a life change that is permanently helping you have the life you want rather than a temporary deprivation of things you HAVE to HAVE in your life (and stomach). However we all slip from time to time and the trick is to have that one slip and then get RIGHT back on the wagon.

Glad you found your way back at any rate.

This diet works, but it is a difficult one. Try to stay focused and remember if you do screw up, get up and come back swinging!!!!!!

          Welcome "back" focus,

I think we have all been there-done that

I disagree that this is a difficult diet. It is a lifestyle- WOL and once you kick those useless white carbs to the curb you should be ok.

Keep a copy of the book handy and study it when you need to. Move up the rungs and try lots of different low carb recipes so you find your new favorites.

Welcome back!! I agree with Alaska, this is not a difficult WOE. After your cravings are gone, you won't want to eat the bad stuff. Especially after you watch the pounds and fat just melt. Good luck!!

Welcome back! No need to be ashamed! This is my first day back, too -- after being gone for ..umm...two years?! Ouch! But I'm PROUD to be back. No, not proud I put my weight back on by any means. But I'm proud that I'm back here, that I'm smart enough to know that this WOE works for me, and proud I've taken the steps to get myself healthy again. So no shame!! Give yourself a big ol' hug and be proud of yourself for taking the necessary step -- at least you're back!!

                  Re: Sneaks on in shame!

We need to always remind ourselves that carbs are not our friends and treat them the same way we treat people who are out to harm us: avoid them at all costs! Having them on our taste buds for a few seconds just isn't worth the pain and suffering they cause later on.

You can do this and we are here to help!
