My least favorite day of the week. I'm trying to generate a better attitude. Have my food planned for the day. Have my 96 oz of H20 chilling in the frig. Have my MP3 player in my purse so I can take a walk immediately after getting out of work.

Just think "Do what you have to do, and let your body take care of the rest!"
I did my part and shifted my focus to enjoying the day. I got rid of the scale between my toes and started living. Weighing only once a month or so. Numbers take me down the wrong attitude road.
My attitude was everything, so I found ways to keep it up,. Hit the water, eat right, get in a good half hour of movement, take your supps....and live LIFE!74 8/1/06

Mornin!
Only managed to squeeze in a 25min walk, some abs and push-ups this morning. I'm planning on looking into a new gym - but a little hesitant that I wont use it much until the fall - when the weather is cold again.
Down 1lb for the week - still have to measure - but at this rate I should hit goal in 2011! lol j/k

GREAT attitude - keep it up. You'll see more movement. I stopped weighing every day and went to once a week, and it made a world of difference for me, so going from week-month might work for you. Just checking in. It sounds like everyone else is crazily busy too. I just got 2 daughters off to school, one more to get to the orthodontist, then the day is off to a roar.
Actually getting the oldest two off to school just involves cautious prodding and coffee! Have a great day.

Happy Monday STAC'ers,
My sun burn is still a little irritating. Luckily we might have a break from the intense sun this week. Partly Cloudy today
I haven't weighed in for awhile. I might get on the scale before the shower. I am sleepy today. I think I am recovering from Saturday night's lack of sleep and over exercising yesterday.
My plan is to drink lots of fluids and make some food for the week. I also have to clean my fridge today (among other work things).
Proud Mom- I get my daughter (and the neighbor girl) breakfast almost every morning along with a cup of Joe. We seem to be going through coffee like crazy with 3 people drinking it (as opposed to just hubby).

Kelly I haven't used keto sticks in months. Maybe I should get some new ones? I have started to use the scale less and less. I am doing the 6WEC and we weighed and measured. When I was measuring last time around it was exciting to watch my shrinking numbers.
Griindgrl, have fun looking for a new gym. I want to upgrade from the local YMCA but it is so close and so inexpensive. I would like to take a yoga class specifically for back surgery patients. I am researching to see if I can find anything.

Well, happy Monday everyone. I hope you all had a great weekend. I didn't check in at all. Weekend was rough for me...I battled hunger/cravings on Saturday and Sunday I gave in during one meal....but only one meal and it wasn't as horrid as it could have been (corn chips at a Mexican restaurant...but main dish was still only a taco salad, which wasn't NEAR as good as the one I make myself). I'm sure it knocked me out of ketosis though. My weight was up all weekend, even prior to my "indiscretion" last night...has been at 273.4 since Saturday. Can PMS seriously start a full 8 days in advance?
I'm getting set for my Vegas trip. I only have a couple hours in the evening over the next couple of days to do a TON of stuff....so I'm jumping the gun on the packing thing, which is soooooo not like me! Because of my flight time, I'm going to have to go to bed at an absolutely insanely early hour on Wednesday.
Yesterday I spent $8 to save $30...I bought a little $8 set of empty containers to put my "liquid" items in so that I can pack everything one needs for a 5 day trip into a stupid Ziploc bag so I can put my suitcase through as a carry on and save the absolutely ridiculous luggage fees. That whole luggage fee thing torks me like NOBODY'S business! The first piece should be figured into the cost of the ticket...PERIOD! I can see starting the charges at a second piece, but a first??? And if you want to get me started on a freakin rant...let's talk about the $5/per day "phone access fee" you are forced to pay in Las Vegas hotels. Again...that should be built into the cost of the room. If you are going to call it out separately, then it better dang-well be optional (which it's not) because I have no intention of using the room phone for the 5 days I'm there! I have a cell phone...I haven't used a hotel phone in 10 years! They could take it out of my room for all I care...why do I have to pay $5 a day for it? Are you going to charge me $5 a day for the stupid chair and ottoman that's in there that I won't use either? A "furniture access" fee if you will? You offer a room...you charge a price for that room...if you need extra money for the freakin phone, then up the price of the freakin room.
Wow...I do sound hostile don't I. I think I answered my own PMS question. LMAO!!!
I'm very fortunate that as a disabled person, I get to board early...so I won't have to fight for space in the overhead compartment for my carry-on...but I can imagine that this policy change has made a TON of people do what I'm doing, trying to carry everything on board instead of paying the extra fees. I bet it becomes a battle for space.
Saturday I chatted with a friend whom I have successfully brainwashed into trying this WOE *bwahahhahaa*...just kidding. I introduced her to the ADBB site...I have no idea if she joined. She was 3 days in on Saturday and...in her words...she was "testy" from cola withdrawals, which is to be expected as she was a Pepsi fiend. She did her due-diligence and read the book and said this WOE "made sense" to her...yay!!! I told her the first week is rough but to tough it out and it will pay off. Last I talked to her, she was reading through the "never ending induction recipes" post and was excited to try a few things. She likes more veggies than I do...I think she will do very well.
In my never-ending munchiness saturday night, I tried something new that didn't turn out quite as planned, but worth trying again. (I can't take credit for this...someone else on this site came up with it, but I don't recall who.) I had a package of large pepperonis that I separated and baked about 9 of them on a baking sheet, attempting to get them crispy. They never did...but maybe I should try broiling next time? Anyway...I then put a smidge of pizza sauce on each one and then a pinch of mozzarella and parm to make little mini pizzas. They were quite tasty...I'd do this again. I might even top with a piece of Canadian bacon and a sausage crumble next time. If I could get them crispy, I think these would make fun party appetizers...but as they were I had to eat them with a knife and fork.
So...still no TJ, right...and couldn't help but notice koob is gone, too. We might have to punish them upon their return!

Successfully did Atkins in 1998 using 1992 copy of the book...before it was "hip". Lost 60lbs, exercised daily, felt and looked great. And then I moved in with a junk-food loving man, my mom got sick and passed away, then I suffered a spinal cord injury, and junk-food dude left me...and now I weigh 292lbs. That's 22lbs MORE than I weighed the first time around. It's 10 years later...I know this will work for me again.
