So a couple years ago, I lost about 30 lbs and was right down to a good and proper weight for my height. Within the last 6 months or so, I've gained back half of that weight. I decided to try Atkins on recommendation of a friend who it worked well for and who had similar weight loss goals. I did the induction, lost 13 lbs from it, and felt awesome.
Now the weird problem here for me is that I am a weekend pot-smoker (no judgments!) and even though I never had the chronic munchies as an herbal enthusiast prior to Atkins, all of a sudden on Atkins I do! So unknowing of this fact, I toked with my friends on the weekend and ate everything I should not have, even though the two weeks of induction was totally simple for me. In the end, I ate so much on the weekend that I bumped myself back up to only 3 lbs away from where I was at the beginning of the induction. So that's like a 10 pound weight gain from a weekend. Bummer!
Anyways, I've decided that I'll leave the green swill behind for a few months while I get this weight thing figured out, but the thing that is bothering me is will the weight not come off as well this time through induction since I already did it once? I'm kind of worried that I'm screwing with my metabolism too much and my body is going to stop responding. Any ideas about the repercussions of going on and off induction too much?
