    For the ladies...

Well I've started for the second time. The first time I did it, I was younger and motivated because my sex life had hit a "plateau" or more specifically a "non-existant plateau". I was severely overweight and unhealthy, but I lost over 100 lbs and looked and felt great. Then I stopped and gained it all (+) back.
This time around I am older, married and even more out of shape. I started on induction 4 days ago and I'm doing well. My motivation this time around is for me but also for another girl in my life...Gabby my 2 year old daughter. I want to be around to watch her grow up. This board has been a great help and I thank you all for your inspiring posts.

    Re: For the ladies...

welcome dad -- glad you are back on Atkins, are doing well and have a special little lady in your life to get you focused!

You know how this works, but here are a few links to help refresh your memory -- if you need anything all you have to do is ask!

The Rules of Induction can be found here:

The Induction Acceptable Foods List can be found here:

This is from the "Read before you start" post

Be sure to drink a minimum of 64 ounces of water each day, including:
    Filtered water
    Mineral water
    Spring water
    Tap water

Additionally (after your 64 ounces daily), you can have the following:

Clear broth/bouillon (not all brands; read the label)
    Club soda
Cream, heavy or light (limit to two to three tablespoons a day; note carb content)
    Decaffeinated coffee or tea*
Diet soda made with sucralose (Splenda); be sure to count the carbs (may cause a stall in weight loss)
Essence-flavored seltzer (must say "no calories" and should not contain aspartame)
Herb tea (without barley or any fruit sugar added)
Lemon juice or lime juice (note that each contains 2.8 grams carbohydrate per ounce); limit to two to three tablespoons
