  • Roll Call 5/17/09 Sunday!

    Alright, all of you sleepy head STACer's!! I've been waiting for someone to jump in and start the roll call!!

    Hope all of you are doing well and staying on plan all weekend long!! I've managed to do it and with travel involved while ordering McDonald's for my son in 2 different cities yesterday!!

    It's been a good weekend overall. I'm still buzzing from the 50 pounds lost mark!! I have to enjoy this one a little while. I think it's getting slower! I've never gotten to this size on Atkins or any other WOE for that matter, so I feel like I can be content for awhile and not beat myself up to lose the next 5 or 10 lbs. Content is NICE!!!

    I'm going to consider moving up a rung or two. The next rung doesn't tempt me one bit!! But it's time to pay even closer attention to my CCLL. Pre-maintenance is close and I've got book work and fitday work to do to learn my lessons!!

    Awesomeness in resisting the temptation, Everlosing. Content is indeed pleasant.

    About to hit the bookstore to pickup some great nutrition books I've had my eye on, then switch out a shirt I bought yesterday for a larger size. I need some hand towels from Walmart too, turns out my new gym membership doesn't include the towels. And boy do I sweat!

    Had a wonderful breakfast as always, and ready for a WONDERFUL AND SUNNY SUNDAY!
    What I do:
    Elliptical gym machine 1 hr Tue-Sun
    At 320, switch to cycling on my Trek 500
    2 filtered containers water/day
    Daily salads/veggies


    Goals:

    Stop needing High Blood Pressure meds - DONE!
    Workout in a XXXL shirt
    - DONE!
    Workout in a XXL shirt
    Workout in a XL shirt
    270 on the scales

      I'm awake! It's a bit too early for me on a Sunday though. (awake at 6:30!! right now it's 8:45)
      Right now I'm nibbling on strips of left over steak... yummy!

      Ev - I was just over at the Celebrations Forum and saw your response to me. I'm thrilled that you're loving your reflection! hahaha! It's all about your, girl, and you're loving what you see! Good!! I can totally relate... check out my post in the Celebrations Forum... pics of my before at 231 and now at 190, 40 pounds down. I have to admit that I'm enjoying my reflection more then I'm liking the current pics!!

      Oh ya!! I'm 190 today!! I've met my mini-goal!! Next mini-goal... 180

      Okay... I'm outta here. I want to get to the nursery and pic up some potting flowers and I'm going in for a pedicure. I also want to explore some antique/second-hand stores - I'm looking for a piece of furniture that can be converted into a vanity for a bathroom. But first... a shower!

      Here's to an on-plan day!

        I am still behnd you, but I am not out of the race just yet

        Today I am heading out to go hiking. It is amazing here. We had some powerful rain Friday (enough to flood my yard), but it was done by 6 pm that night. The Sun has been hanging around and life is good.

        Ev- you should enjoy your 50#. It is something to be very proud of. I am sure you are super motivated from it and before you know it, you will be at your final goal.

          Good afternoon STAC'ers! I'm sore, and will be sorer today. I did the Billy Blanks TAEBO amped and I'm feeling it right now. I was a little sore when I woke up this morning, but the workout I did today has compounded on that. I'm going to take some asprin to ease the soreness, but tomorrow is my off day, so I'm going to swim a few laps at the pool tomorrow.

          Clean on Induction! 8 more days to go for two weeks.

            Hi everyone....congrats Vickie on the mini-goal!

            Ev - I had a similar thought on bumping up a rung. Strawberries and sunflower seeds are calling my name, but I'm nervous....we'll see.....

            John - nice call on the books. I find that a Mens Health magazine or a health book are nice ways to keep mentally on plan...

            Julie - we're stuck in the rain too. I thought the April showers brought the May flowers?? Geesh. We might have frost Monday night. Hope my new plantings make it. The nursery took down the Jack Frost signs, so I'm trusting them....

            brightstar - congrats on the clean induction ! Keep it up!

            Today is/was crazy for me. Early church, then swim class for my boy at the Y, then workout on the elliptical while he played at the Y (free child care), then I cooked chicken wings, roasted zucchini, chicken, and some other things for me to take to work this week. Now I'm off to cut the grass, then we're going bowling, then for a quick bite and back in time for Game 7 of the Celtics! Busy day, indeed. 40lbs ago, I don't think I would have done half of what I'm doing today...

              Hello!

              It's been a lazy day for me today..it's raining and dreary outside and completely ruined my plans for walking today and yesterday. I ended up doing my elliptical last night for 20 minutes, that's about all I can handle on that thing for now but I'm working my way up slowly from starting at 15 minutes.

              My scale was up 2 lb yesterday putting me back to 240 and this morning it was down 5 lb putting me at 235!! Thats a total of 15 lb since starting induction on 5-6-09!

              This is day 12 of induction for me and I can say I have been 100% clean on it, no cheats whatsoever!

              I go back to school on June 1 and I am wanting to get used to this WOE 100% so I have everything under control when it starts back. It is my last semester and lasts 9 weeks.

              I am planning to stay on Induction throughout that time or possibly move up to rung 1 and rung 2 during that time. Anyway, thats been on my mind and I need to get busy doing some planning to keep me successful!

              Ok, so I've ramble enough and I hope you all are having a good day!

                Dude, that thing is brutal! I walk for an hour every night, and the figured I would own that machine. So I get on it, crank to 5 and thought I was gonna DIE. So I did a measly 10 mins at level ONE and was too tired to go on. Who designs those things?!

                I used to do an hour on lvl 15, hope I can get back to that soon.

                  Thanks! I always lose really fast on 2 week induction, anywhere from 12 to 16 pounds in the past. My body must really adapt to low carb. In 2005 I went from 254 to 158 in 9 months. Don't know why I gave up, I kinda feel like it's because I NEVER moved out of Induction and learned my CCLL and stuff. Not gonna make that mistake this time

                  Man, I couldn't imagine doing an hour on an elliptical on level 15. I start out on the lowest level for about 5 minutes or so, I listen to music while I do it and with each new song I turn it up a little bit. It's a workout though! I guess thats why I use it as a last resort haha.

                    New here, and this is my second time around on the diet. Lost 120 pounds the first time.

                        Good evening all!

                        What a busy day! Just a quick check in before heading off to watch the finale of Survivor .. I'm such a reality junkie

                        Doing really well - finally down my first 20 lbs as of yesterday and almost to my second mini goal!

                        I am so glad that even when I stopped losing weight for 3 weeks .. I stuck with it and it's paying off.
