When ever I lose a few pounds and/or meet one of my goals I'm tempted to jump off the Atkins wagon and celebrate my achievement with carbs. Does this happen to anyone else?

Re: Is it just me??
Burn I used to be that way.....
Now I try to find a reward before my goal. Like a massage or a tattoo.... Then when I reach my goal I focus on that prepared reward instead of leaving my mind open to be suduced by the dark lord... carbs
Some neat reward ideas are-
some nice cut flowers, a trip to the movies (with your own treats), a pedicure. You change your mind set and then the reward becomes more important than just food.

Re: Is it just me??
I always think I will go out for sushi when I reach a goal - and then when I do, I stick to low carb foods - sashimi, edamane, tofu...
My next goal - I am going for a pedicure, the one after that, buy a new bathing suit - my ones from last year are too big!F - 162/154/134
restarted May 1 - for the very last time!

Re: Is it just me??
What I've noticed is that about once a week there is a situation where it is really hard to stay on track. A family party at a pizza place, birthday cake, the movie theatre (I love popcorn!), taking the kids out for ice cream. So, once a week I have to force myself to stay on track because of a situation I have little control over. The rest of the time it's easy.

Re: Is it just me??
You guys gave me a great idea to help me celebrate my resent loses. I'm going to buy a few sets of pretty matching bras and panties. That's much better than eating carbs.sigpic
