  • Here I Go Again...

    Hello everyone,
    I just joined this thing yesterday and think it is a great idea! My name is Caroline and this is my second time doing Atkins. The first time I did it when I was 17 years old, I lost a lot of weight on it, but soon went back to eating junk food and gained it all back plus more over the past 3 years. I am 20 years old and weigh almost 200 pounds. Not good and very depressing. I got married a year ago and because there were so many adjustments and a lot of stress, I think that contributed to my weight gain. Today is my second day. It has been hard. I am already having very strong carb-cravings and am wondering if I can really do this. I know I have done it before but I want to lose 50 lbs and that seems so far away! I am grateful for the support that I have here and will come here when I am feeling down or discouraged. Thank you!

    Good luck! I know the first few days are hard -- I'm on day one (again).

    We just need to stay focused and visit this Board frequently for motivation and inspiration.

      Yeah, the worst was today at work. I was having some really bad cravings for pizza (my favorite). Lo, and behold, my supervisor walks in a few minutes later with THREE BOXES! I was the only one that did not eat any-now I am very happy with that, but I also feel very weak and lethargic...I will probably feel this way allll week...

        Welcome Caroline! You can absolutely do this. The first few days are the hardest but if you stick with it you know you will be so glad you did. And huge congratulations to you for your willpower of not eating pizza!! You should be so proud of yourself already, you've started out so well!
