  • Roll Call, June 6th, SATURDAY!!!

    YAY!! It's the weekend!! Translation....no idiots surrounding me!

    Going to tackle tough yard work today. I'm kind of excited about it too! Later in the day, one of my oldest friends is coming into town to hang out and keep me company with one of her friends. Wasn't looking forward to anymore alone time this weekend. I'm in a I need people around me phase. I've had enough alone time since Christmas, it's drivng me nutty! It's been a month since I've seen them and I've gone from a snug size 10 in jeans to loose 10's and nearly 15 pounds down. Need the atta-girl comments from her! We might have to run to the grocery store so they have something to eat!

    Hope you're all doing well and staying on plan. It gets easier to stay on plan the closer you get to goal. For anyone struggling out there, you should just post about it if you need the extra nudge. The STAC forum is certainly the group who understands. Have a GREAT weekend and don't let ANYONE steal YOUR dreams! Go get 'em!!

      I'm concerned about where everyone has gone! It was only a month ago that this was an active roll call.

      Was it something I said???

      I'm going to ride my motorcycle today and start packing for my cruise to Alaska next week. A woohoo day for me.

            Happy Saturday STAC'ers

            I have had a couple of very busy days. I missed you guys!

            I need to do some house work and make some good food to be prepared. I think I am going to make some quiche today and maybe something else..... I want to be prepared. I am finding my self busier this summer and trying to stay on plan is important. I do not want to fail now.

            Yesterday I started work at 7 am out of town, met a friend at 9 am then hiked for almost 3 hours, then came back to town and worked till 4 pm. When I got home I grabbed my daughter and went to a movie. I was literally gone from 6 am until 8:30 pm.

            I think summer has a way of making us burn the candle at both ends- I think some of the STAC members are probably super busy. I hope they are staying on plan and keeping grounded firmly in this WOL.

            Ev have fun with your friend.

            Kib- your are too awesome good job with the exercise

              Ok...well this is my first roll call, so i am not quite sure what to say except that I'm here. Day two of my induction..blah...forgot how yucky I would feel. So weird that I have no appetite. Why didn't I do this sooner?!

                Welcome Lori!! Great to have a new "face" in roll call! Make sure you make it daily routine. It helps us be accountable! Your energy will surge before you know it and then you get to clean the house like you're on speed or something!!

                  Up early & got all my errands done & got groceries. Don't need to leave the house until Monday to return to work. PMS is rearing it's ugly head~~DH was on my last nerve last night. Luckily he is at work & I have the day to myself!

                  Going to try out my yoga DVD then take my book & go sit outside in the sunshine!

                    Hello all. All is well today. I love Saturdays.
                    I couldn't get the thought of French fries out of my head yesterday. Today my thinking is Induction carb friendly.
                    I have lots of housework to do. Have a great carb day!

                      Hi all!

                      I just had atomic hot wings at WingStop for lunch. WOAH they were hot. Going to a party tonight, drinking lots of water, life is good.
                      What I do:
                      Elliptical gym machine 1 hr Tue-Sun
                      At 320, switch to cycling on my Trek 500
                      2 filtered containers water/day
                      Daily salads/veggies


                      Goals:

                      Stop needing High Blood Pressure meds - DONE!
                      Workout in a XXXL shirt
                      - DONE!
                      Workout in a XXL shirt
                      Workout in a XL shirt
                      270 on the scales

                        Just adding another testimonial to the "energy surge". Once you stick it out past the initial wooze of induction, you'll feel like you just got an extra jolt of electricty.

                        My morning is different from you guys's. It's already 6/7 where I am (I'm 11 hrs ahead of eastern daylight time), but it doesn't seem right for me to start the check-in. Might just do it one of these days, though...

                        Had an "on plan" Saturday, which was a small miracle. Went out for dinner, was able to order a salmon salad and drank water throughout the night. Just liked the feeling of my jeans (loose) to ruin it by going off plan. If that isn't motivation, I don't know what is.

                          *waving hand* I'm here! Still OP 100%, may go take a walk later in the day. I have some studying to do for a test on Tuesday. Clinicals start Monday and boy am I ready because that's when the semester will fly! I have about 9 weeks left until my Nurse Pinning Ceremony anditI would be absolutely wonderful to lose about 20 more pounds by then. I'm hoping that getting back to the clinical setting will help me burn a few extra calories since they keep up so busy at the hospital!
