  • Third Day Still Clean, Still Sore, Still Tired...

But in a good way. I'm not hungry and my meal choices taste good to me. As I go on I will need more ideas but for now I'm good. Today was my cardio day and when I got home I was ready to sleep on the couch but I made myself drink water and made three eggs fried in butter over easy. yes I know three is a lot but I felt at that point I really needed the extra. I'd say that the walk I did was a lot of hills of different elevation the first hill being the worst. God that sucked. I also took my dogs for their walk tonight when it cooled off and I mowed my front lawn. All in all it was a busy but satisfying day. The energy level is up and I feel good. I knew to expect the headache so I've been taking tylenol regularly to counter that. So far so good. No problems.

Tomorrow is resistance training. I'm both looking forward to and dreading it at the same time. I was told by my trainer that resistance training is actually more effective long term than cardio was although cardio is just as important. She said that when you lift weights it creates microscopic tears in the muscle and you burn energy while those heal. She called it the after burn affect and I forgot how long she said it lasts for. I'm still a bit sore from yesterday but no pain no gain right?

Anyway I just wanted to check in with people and say hi! Keep up the good work everyone!

You sound like you are doing great. Keep up the good work! I agree with your trainer. Weight training and cardio are both very important in weight loss.
