  • ugh....cravings!

    So last night I had what I thought would be legal parmesan garlic wings from Buffalo Wild Wings....wellThere must have been something in them because I would kill for some chocolate chip cookies, popcorn, swiss cake rolls and some tortilla chips with white cheese sauce.....oh man that sounds so good right now!!! Anyways instead of caving I am posting! I don't want to quit on day 7. I have had so many false starts in the past and I had never gotten past day 2 let alone day 7 so I am going to keep on keeping on. But I have learned my lesson....no parmesan garlic wings...maybe next time I'll stick to the naked wings!!!!

    You need a legal dill pickle. The brain cannot tell the difference between sweet and dill, apparently. Works for me every time!! Be sure to check the ingredients and as always, count the carbs.

        Stay strong! You've come so far already. I had to re-start Induction today and so wish I was on Day 7 - you can do it!
        Started January 12, 2009

        Goal 1: Complete 2 week induction
        Goal 2: Fit into my size 14 jeans
        Goal 3: Fit into my size 12 jeans
        Goal 4: Fit into my size 10 jeans
        This is when I will weigh myself and set new goals!

          Ditto on the pickle. Any time you eat at a restaurant you are taking a chance. Some restaurants even have sugar on their steaks. How F'd up is that! You can make awesome garlic parmesean wings at home that you know are legal. The best part is you can eat your mistakes until you perfect it. I love mistakes.

            Restaurant eating can be so iffy. Even stuff like blue cheese dressing or an order of green beans can be stuffed full of sugar. Very likely your wings were marinated in some sort of sugar. Good for you for passing on by....

              Thanks! I feel like I am in the clear now! The pickle helped a lot and I guess now I am going to have to be a lot more careful when I eat out! Thanks everyone!

                Hang in there Star! I have really strong cravings if I have any sugar so I totally know how you feel. It is so good that you post instead of cave in. I find it strange that if I stay on track and have no sugar at all, even chocolate doesn't interest me, but if I have the tiniest bit of sugar everything looks amazing! Eva

                  Successfully did Atkins in 1998 using 1992 copy of the book...before it was "hip". Lost 60lbs, exercised daily, felt and looked great. And then I moved in with a junk-food loving man, my mom got sick and passed away, then I suffered a spinal cord injury, and junk-food dude left me...and now I weigh 292lbs. That's 22lbs MORE than I weighed the first time around. It's 10 years later...I know this will work for me again.
