    Happy Monday or whatever makes you feel good about it! I've got an abbreviated week at work so that's something to be joyous about all week!

    Hope you are all doing well and on plan. Our numbers have dwindled and I think it's time to send out some messages.

    Oz and Kelly--glad you made it home safe from your most recent adventures. It's good to have you back!!

    Back to reality~~it's Monday morning. I'd rather stay in bed for awhile & then contine with quilt camp!

          hello all

          Im on day 5 of induction, and on a quest to find new receipes to try. I got bored of eating the same kinds of foods last time i did the atkins and after 4 months fell off the wagon. Im looking for different kinds of snack foods, and was thinking to make some kind of crispy snack from fried thinly sliced courgettes, then cover the slices with some salsa cheese and jalepenos, so they would be like a nachos dish. Has anyone got any other good ideas for snack, apart from cheese?

                  Well I am in day 9 of Induction and up 1.5 pounds. I drink 72 - 90 oz of water a day. my Fit day stats are 60-70% fat 4-6 % Carb and 30-35% Protein. Most carbs are from salad, no more than 3 oz of cheese a day. I keep the cream down to 1 TBSP. I have eaten nothing that is not on the plan. I do 45 min aerobics 5 days a week. But this is exactly what happened the last time also. Maybe I will try to get the Carb count closer to the 20 and see if that helps. The good news is that my diabetic readings are getting better.

                        Good morning all! I'm getting ready to head out to lunch for a couple bunless burgers. I didn't pack my lunch today, so I have to improvise. I made it through Father's Day yesterday on plan, but overall it sucked. My Brewers lost .... Again. I did have a great time with my kids at the pool, but I missed my dad quite a bit. I have softball double headers the next three nights, so I am not doing any other exercising. Our season ends on Wednesday, so I can start my summer cardio program. I am going to lay off the weights for a few months other than a quick toning workout twice a week. I gotta lose that last little bit of belly.

                          Happy Monday (I think)

                          I had a very busy weekend and didn't make it to roll call. Crossing my fingers that I am on a good spell as far as my body is concerned. No back or knee pain and very minimal arm dicomfort so far since Friday. I managed 4 hours of hiking yesterday then a break and another 2 hours of light walking and incredibly my body isn't in pain. wow! This is major good news for me. I do have TOM but it isn't too bad.

                          I did screw up royally yesterday (I am chalking it up to PMS) but I need to get a couple days of induction in to get back on track.


                          cafe- some snack ideas some what crispy- home made cheese squares (line a cooky sheet with parchment) spread shredded cheese on it thin and even- bake at 350 for 15-20, till brown. Cool and cut into squares.

                          Also you can take kale, break it into pieces, soak in vinegar briefly, place it on a cooky sheet- lightly salt and bake it (I am not sure how long) it gets very crispy and is pretty good. I haven't made it before so you might want to search recipes but I have eaten and it was very good.

                          Buddy have you posted a menu on the board? You may not be eating enough. Sounds weird I know- but try posting yesterdays menu and see if we can help.

                            Good morning all. Great job Sham! Hope Quilt camp was fun, Oz. I survived my birthday campout and my husband's big golf tournament without an upward movement on the scale. I stuck to my plan (did have small glasses of wine which I measured) and managed to have just a thank you bite of birthday cake. I was so happy to see that I had not gained. It is a small triumph.                               Finished a clean induction yesterday. Still on plan. Haven't decided if I'll move to OWL or go awhile longer on induction.
