  • Roll Call 6/23/09 Tuesday....

    Good morning, STACer's!! I'm still hanging in there for a pound (or more, hehehe) down. I'm about ready to give up the higher GI fruits. Apparently, they're maintenance foods for this body!

    I'm in a weird place, sometimes dealing with cravings I haven't had to deal with before. Craving sweets of course, even when I haven't had a piece of fruit. I'm so tempted to return to Induction for a few days. No cravings, undeniable energy, you know the drill... I'm hoping the weight loss pause has everything to do with my body catching up or down with itself and the recent losses. It's been quite awhile since my last loss and I can't seem to defeat one little pound.

    The good news is....this week will be so busy at work, it'll be over before I know it!

    Good luck with that lb.Good morning all soon its afternoon in the uk as its 11.30am here.I am also hoping for at least a lb loss till the weekend will be great as I have 2 weeks till my birthday I want to lose as much as I can and mark my year on the diet.

      Temporary blip in my WOE so back to Induction for a few days for me. Yes I know the reasons why for my blip & will address that as needed.

        Good morning.

        Day two of induction and I am down 5 lbs this morning to, 227.

        I like this daily roll call. It helps to keep one accountable.

        I always hit my first Goal of 230#. Although I only had to lose 2# it is still an accomplishment.
        GOAL #1-220 lbs Completed 03/27/10
        GOAL #2-215 lbs
        GOAL #3-210 lbs
        GOAL #4-205 lbs
        GOAL #5-199.9 lbs onederland

          Good morning all. Looking forward to another steamy day here in North Georgia. I'm in three classes this summer AND writing my dissertation so I have plenty of work to do which is why I'm getting ready to get on my motorcycle and ride!!!!

          I'm going to pee on a stick today for the first time in about a month and I'd better be PURPLE!!! LOL!!!

            Good Morning!

            Made it through Day 2 yesterday - phew! I feel much better today. I thought yesterdy was never going to end while I dreamed of peanut and jelly sandwiches and chocolate cake - but this morning I don't have any desire for any of it!

            I start Day 3 today and actually feel a little lighter but won't weigh in until the end of Induction.

            My first time on Atkins I didn't follow the book - I basically stayed on Induction (or worse) for 9 months and developed some eating disorders along the way because I was so obsessed with losing weight. I did lose almost 80 lbs and became a bit too thin and then starting eating healthy (but not Atkins) and gained back enough to look good. This time I am focused on following the rungs and doing this right. I also became addicted to exercising last time and although I do plan to start back to the gym very soon - I don't plan to do 3 hour - 7 day a week workouts this time. OK - enough of confession ... I'm just really glad to be here and able to read the results and frustrations of others because it makes it more real and helps me keep my head in the right place. I am convinced I CAN do it this time the RIGHT way and keep the weight off for good.

            On another note - I really do need to do this because due to my weight gain I have basically stopped living on many levels. I deny myself of doing things and being around other people because of how I'm afraid I am perceived and what I look like. It's not healthy and I need to change that frame of mind along with losing weight - all for my health.

              OK, I'm back on the plan. I cheated. I had a 1/2C cashews, a french fry and an entire package of bubble gum. Not much but enough to knock me off that pink ketostix

                Morning,
                Induction yesterday: good except ate nuts. not good. down 3 lbs though... yah.
                There are no nuts in the house left so no more nuts for me.
                Getting a massage at 9:30. Can't wait. I'm very tired from my 7 mile walk back and forth to the library.
                Going to work on quilting later today...
                better eat breakfast now. 101 things to do with eggs...

                  Hello everyone! Well I am on day 9 and I feel great! the cravings are gone so I know it must have been those wings from the other day! LAst night went fine and today is going to be even better!

                  Good luck with that last 1lb everlosing! I know you'll figure it out!

                    Ever...I think induction for a few days to kill the cravings is a good idea. It won't take long...I don't think you need to do two weeks or anything like that.

                    Oz...blips happen. I personally believe you have to find a way to work the blips into your life, deal with them and move on...or else you might find yourself giving up completely...and we know that isn't healthy!

                    GXI1247..seriously? 5 pounds in 2 days! Way to go! That should be motivating!

                    Kelly...I miss GA already. Can I come back now? LOL...hope your stick was nice and colorful!

                    Good work EW78...thanks for sharing. It sounds like you have some healthy directions you are heading in this time around.

                    BurnFat...an entire package of bubblegum? What the heck?

                    I'm day 3 back on induction...was in ketosis but good before dinner last night...dinner might have been a TAD carb heavy cuz the stick is lighter, but still in the pink Dinner turned out to not be steak...that will be tonight now I guess. Instead I went for my old "mockaroni and cheese" standby...oh how I missed it. So quick and yummy...but I think the hot dog I used might have been too high for my own good. Usually I use those 1g Hebrew Nationals, but this one was 4grams....then there was the cauliflower and the cheese...just might have been a bit too much overall. I don't care...I'm still down, still in the pink and still doing well.

                    Today’s food plan is 3 pieces of bacon for breakfast, chicken Caesar again for lunch (cuz I accidently left my lunch box with all the fixins in the fridge at the office), cheesecake, salami for snack, steak for dinner...with a side of broccoli and cream sauce. Mmmmm....my mouth is watering.

                    I didn't mention yesterday that I found out on Sunday the trainer I had been working with and ADORED at the gym somehow left (fired? quit? not sure) while I was in GA...I'm soooooo disappointed!! I have an appointment with a new trainer for Wednesday night...we'll see...she sounds too "cutesy" on the phone. I need a drill sergeant type!

                    Today is my baby sister’s birthday. 33 years ago she was born 3 months early, weighing in at 1lb, 14 oz....which in 1976, they didn't have a whole lot of hope for her surviving...and if she did they said she would have a whole host of problems. She thrived and went on to be completely normal...well...I've always joked over the years that her only problem is that she's an annoying little sister...but really, I love her to death and am so glad she decided to stick around this crazy world.

                    Successfully did Atkins in 1998 using 1992 copy of the book...before it was "hip". Lost 60lbs, exercised daily, felt and looked great. And then I moved in with a junk-food loving man, my mom got sick and passed away, then I suffered a spinal cord injury, and junk-food dude left me...and now I weigh 292lbs. That's 22lbs MORE than I weighed the first time around. It's 10 years later...I know this will work for me again.

                      Hello all

                      Im on day 6 of induction and finaly rid of induction flu! my energy levels have gone back up and im not craving any bad stuff. I still have not weighed myself as im going to do that when i finish Induction in a weeks time. Last time i lost 8lbs and im hoping for a similar loss, but I know this may not be possible for a sceond time arounder.

                      Everyone is doing so well its so encouraging to read all your posts!

                        Happy Tuesday.

                        I am here, struggling with TOM. Ugg! Today is a new day. I failed again yesterday!

                        I have a big day as well. Lots of work to do.

                        Rajenki- tell your sis Happy Bday!. My daughter was 10-11 weeks premature in 1993. She was lucky we kept her in the oven with steroids to help her lungs form faster. She was bigger 3.10 (said she would have been huge had she gone full term (hubby was a 12 pounder his poor mother).

                        Gotta go! Wish me self control today!

                          A whole pack of bubble gum. Don't take this the wrong way, but that made me laugh!

                          I reached my fortieth birthday on Friday so (cough) I am back. Yay. I never really went away... but... you know. Moving back to OWL rung 1 because I just never get enough veggies anyway and thought it would be a good idea to start there. At least after a few days of induction just to get into ketosis.

                          On a "lighter" note. My friend gave me a two hour lesson of pole dancing. She is doing it with me. What the heck am I going to do with that??? I cannot lift myself. I weigh almost 150 lbs. She is killing me. Sexy? I am not. Sigh.
