    Hey guys, where are you? I had to start this.
    raising hand to say I'm still here...
    Have a great Atkins day today...
    I have my quilt group which is ALWAYS a challenge.
    Just ate 2 eggs with 2 oz of cheese for breakfast.

      Goodmorning, I am here as well. Now that I realize i was not eating enough calories I have lost another pound that is 2 in as many days. I think I will do one more week of Induction since I was not eating enough the first week.

      started the day off with 2 eggs and 1oz of cheese for breakfast. already planning my 10 o'clock snack. that is the only way I can get all the calories in. My carb count has not gone over 15 yet. I had some of those stix for testing Keto but I think I left them in the other trailer when we got back from down south which is in storage. Hubby said we could go and see if they are there or if I have to buy more.
      Well it is raining out today so I am off to do my aerobic with weights and then do my inside windows.

            I'm here!

            Day 4 of Induction starts today and I'm doing great

            Still vowing to not get on the scale until Day 14 but it's hard ...

            I did use a Keto Stick this morning for the first time and I read "Moderate" which is a good sign. Had egg salad for breakfast and am heading out to the grocery now to stock up on Atkins friendly foods for the next week.

            I feel so inspired by this group to do this right this time. I am really excited about the possibilities. It's amazing once the headaches and cravings disappear it all seems possible. The only problem I am having is that I am waking up 3-4 times a night to go the bathroom (from all the water) and I feel restless at night. I experience this every time I do Atkins. I hope this passes quickly.

                Hilda, glad the extra calories are starting to work in your favor (a strange sentence to any outsider, I'm sure. LOL!)

                GX...your on a great roll!

                EW...are you exercising at all yet? Maybe that would help with the restlessness? Unfortunately I take a myriad of drugs now to help me sleep due to other issues, but the first time I did Atkins and was exercising, I found I had high quality restful sleep but required far less than 8 hours. It was soooo refreshing. The overnight going to the bathroom thing should calm down after a while.

                Burn...way to go with the keto-pink! I'm right there with ya!

                I got home last night and made that steak...and HATED it...blech! The marinade was just not good. I really need help in the steak area...or need a man in my life who can do it for me, cuz I suck at steak if I can't marinate it in Yoshida's gourmet sauce and garlic (the only way I like it really)...which I can't...cuz of the carbs So I grabbed a hot dog and ate that instead. I was full enough...just disappointed that I wasted the steak. Maybe I should add that to my personals profile...”must be able to grill a great steak”...LMAO

                Today I've had two sausage patties, one egg and a slice of cheese for breakfast. My lunch sack contains bacon, salami, caesar salad fixins sans chicken (hoping to grab some from the company cafe), celery and laughing cow cheese and of course...cheesecake...how would I live without my cheesecake? Dinner is either going to be taco salad (cuz it's quick and easy and nummy) or ground beef and broccoli casserole...which takes longer but is so flippin delicious it could be worth the wait. We’ll see what happens. Problem is that I have to be at the gym by 8pm for my training session with the new “bubbly one”....it’s probably going to be taco salad. LOL Dinner always turns out to be whatever I feel like making when I get home.

                This is probably why it’s a darn good thing I live alone and don’t have “temptations” in my kitchen...or dinner would be my downfall! At least when I get home, my options are pretty much limited to low carb deliciousness anyway.

                Successfully did Atkins in 1998 using 1992 copy of the book...before it was "hip". Lost 60lbs, exercised daily, felt and looked great. And then I moved in with a junk-food loving man, my mom got sick and passed away, then I suffered a spinal cord injury, and junk-food dude left me...and now I weigh 292lbs. That's 22lbs MORE than I weighed the first time around. It's 10 years later...I know this will work for me again.

                  Good work all.
                  I had three slices of bacon for breakfast and a slice of cheese. Then ran against a "lazy river" at a water park. Whew. That's tough work.
                  My biggest problem on this diet is having grab and go food. What's your grab and go snack or breakfast?

                    Actually...same thing you did for breakfast. My grab and go is bacon. I keep some just slightly undercooked in the fridge, then I zap it in the microwave for a few seconds and take it on the run. Cheese, almonds, deli meats...those are all portable.

                        Hey Rajenki - you read my mind! I almost added in my post that I know once I start exercising I will sleep better.

                        I was an avid gym-rat for many years and then have fallen off track the last two years. I have found that every time I start Atkins if I hold on on starting strenuous exercise until I lose the first 20 lbs that I do better than if I start both simutaneously. I am an active person so it's not like I'm sitting day/night - but if I start working out my legs swell and I either stall or gain weight. If I wait just a little longer and then start working out - I'm fine.

                        I will be back at the gym in no time though! I'm determined!

                          Well for lunch today I decided to make a soup as it is cool and raining out today
                          here is the recipe if any one is interested..a quick ham soup..or whatever meat you want to use..
                          Ham Soup

                          6 ½ cup servings each 2 net Carbs

                          2 ounce Butter
                          1 ounce Celery Diced
                          1 ounce Mushroom Diced
                          3 ounceTomatoFresh, Diced
                          2.2 Ounce Onion Diced
                          4 Ounce Ham (I used the pkg of cubed ham)
                          3 Ounce Cauliflower
                          2 Cups Water

                          melt butter in a saucepan, and celery,mushroom,tomato an onion and saute
                          until onions are light golden brown. add cauliflower and ham mix well
                          then add water. season to taste..
                          half cup serving~

                          Per Serving: 36 Cal (30% from Fat, 11% from Protein, 59% from Carb); 1 g
                          Protein; 1 g Tot Fat; 0 g Sat Fat; 0 g Mono Fat; 3 g Carb; 1 g Fiber; 2
                          g Sugar; 10 mg Calcium; 0 mg Iron; 252 mg Sodium; 10 mg Cholesterol~

                          NOTE: if you used an other kind of meat like chicken or even home cooked ham the carb count would be a little less..The pkg ham had 2 carb in 2 oz

                              It's great to hear everyone is doing so great!! Thought I would check in and let everyone know that I am still on plan. I need to eat more than I do, but I am just so afraid that I will start gaining. So far, no, but I am up to 55 carbs a day, and still losing at least 1 or 2 pounds a week. The only thing is, I probably only get about 40 carbs a day. I am always on the go, between going to Mom's to help her, or to the nursing home, and several other stops. I need to make some time for me! Oh well, my time will come. Until next time!!
