white patches on tonsils while in ketosis?

Has anyone had this? I have had recurrent white patches on my tonsils that have been cultured and are not bacteria, virus, or yeast and wondered if they are related to ketosis.

White patches on the tonsils are not related to ketosis.

Wasn't your doctor able to tell you what they are?

Thanks for your quick response.
Dr's & ENTs have been stumped. I would go off Atkins when I start each round of antibiotics as they upset my stomach so much and bread settles it and then as soon as I go back into ketosis the patches come back again. This happened 4 times. It could be coincidence, but here I am having gained all the weight I had lost from two years on Atkins (from 7 mths of on and off Atkins/antibiotics) and want to start Atkins again and was unsure what to do.

However, Monday the white patches have started to come back and I was not on Atkins, so I decided to start induction again today. Just wanted to put the situation out there in case there was some connection.

So I am on day 1 now you all.

Have you tried taking probiotics while on atkins? It could be that your body is flushing the bad out...and it might show like that. Now I am no doctor of course, but I would think that probiotics (acidophillus, etc) would be helpful...maybe some digestive enzymes too? Not sure, but white patches usually means strept throat, however if the dr says its not, then I would look to supplements to help support your system.
