  • Roll Call, 7/9/09, Thursday!

    Good morning, STACer's!! I got up early today. I've been running late quite a bit lately. Thought we should start the roll call thread while the sun is still down.

    Hope everyone is doing well. I'm detecting no movement on the scale but my clothes are getting looser and looser. That's the goal! Have a great day! The weekend is getting closer!!

    Good Morning I am here... Still working on plan...Went by the grocery store yesterday and picked me up some pretty steaks.. Its funny when I do induction I have to eat lots of beef...but after I decarb myself I start craving chicken... I guess the fat from the beef is what helps me feel full....

      Good morning, I am about the same as I was yesterday. I am however wearing a polo to work today that I have not worn in a couple of years

        Afternoon guys,
        Im here and still on plan, just had a lunch of cheese and chives omelette, which is very nice. I have just started doing fitday again, i do find it annoying at times as it does not recognise uk foods, so i have to add to custom foods. Yesterday i eat too many carbs, fitday said i had 35, i should be having 25, so i will cut back a little to day to make up for it.

          Good Morning!

          Checking in. Yesterday I joined the Cheat Free Challenge hoping it will help me get through these 14 days. I know once I do induction it will be smooth sailing - this is the hardest part.

          Cafe - I like your idea of doing 3 new recipes a week. I'm going to plan to do that too. I already selected three from Linda's site for this week.

            not sure how the whole roll call thing works - but I'd like to join in... Ii am starting for the second time around... and I start TODAY - lets do this thing!

              By the way at the risk of sounding desperate – if anyone wants to be a pal to me for the next fourteen days, you know keep me accountable, I would really appreciate that… we can loosely keep in touch on here and I'll let you know I am still fighting the fight!

                Hi all. Day 1 for me TODAY.
                I have done Atkins successfully for years at a time in the past and am starting again today.

                My goal today is to drink at least 8 glasses of water along with sticking to induction.

                I like this roll call concept.

                    Good afternoon all. I present and lowcarbing! I am so excited...as of this morning I was down to 235 lbs! That puts me at 19.6 lbs loss so far. End of day tomorrow completes my first month and I was looking forward to having lost 20 lbs in my first month. I think that 19.6 is close enough to call that goal accomplished.

                    I have been debating moving on to OWL but I find myself terrified of doing that. It seems so complicated and involved. I am so affraid I will mess it up.

                      Hello everyone, I am new to this thread, but not new to this woe! I am restarting as of today and am hoping to find support in this forum! I had originally lost 41 lbs on this woe previously, but now I have gained back 34 of those lbs! ughhh...Someone slap me..please~!

                      Anyhow, I feel awful both physically and emotionally! I am going to do a clean induction and then see where I stand from there! Other than walking, I am not going to add extra exercise until I can fit back into my exercise clothing. lol I know, I know...but I just feel so badly and maybe after induction I will change my mind on that...we shall see.

                      Oh and also, I am having a rough time giving up caffeine...any ideas?? Is green tea ok? I know it has caffeine but heard the good outweighs the bad with it. true? I usually drink 2 large mugs of coffee (no sugar, no cream..just black) and maybe a diet coke zero in the afternoon. I do drink tons of water and buy it by the case for me and the kids!

                        Hi Diva! Sounds like you are doing really well on Induction. I did extended induction for a long period this time around. It is simple and I find I do well with trying to not think about my food. You have such a marvelous start, seems like a good time to stick to an extended Induction and study up on OWL. Of course, I am not an expert - this is my second go round with Atkins.

                          Good Afternoon all! I am having a late starting day. Spent the morning in my garden and picked lovely baby zucchini for lunch. Baked them in the oven with olive oil and lemon pepper. yum
