    Good morning to all.

    I am doing good and on plan. I was 220.2 this morning. I am so close to 220.

    My only problem is I am headed to Vegas this weekend for my bachelor party. I plan on eating low carb, but the drinking not so much

    I know if I don't try and stay on track I will be quite upset with my self when I get back.

    Stick to Vodka and carb free mixers as much as possible. Try to stay somewhat sober, and make sure you eat a nice, high fat no carb meal the next morning.

      gxi1247.. Oh do be careful there. We went to Arizona for the winter right across from Laughlin and I hit the cheap buffet. I blew the whole Atikins right out of the park. Now I know next winter to just hit the meat section first with lots of the prime rib and turkey breast then the salad..to full then to touch the desserts..
      pinkfusion is right just watch the mixer you use..water as a mix can be hard to take but we do adjust..
      Good luck and You can do it!!! you don't want to be doing this after the weekend

      Well this is day 3 for me and I sure hope the headaches go soon. I am still only getting a trace on my Ketostix. I remember the last time I had the same problem and could never get it to go past the light pink. I wonder if my beta Isoptin(heart disease) or my metformin(diabetic type2) has anything to do with this?? Oh well Next monday on the scales will be the key to it all..

          Good Morning all! Have fun in Vegas at your party, you got some great advice from Pinkfusion and Buddysgirl. Load up on the meat and fish and watch the mixers. You can still have fun and not blow your plan.
          I've been in the garden this morning, the green beans are going crazy but my long awaited tomatoes are still green. I may have to resort to frying them green to get my tomato fix. I refuse to buy them from the market when I am so close to having them in my own yard. Had some more eggplant last night. Could probably use some Vegas time myself!

            Hello everyone. I have been MIA for a few days. I have returned home from my trip to Mississippi and MAN am I happy to be here! I was visiting family from the 4th of July till this past Monday. I fought every temptation left and right. I'm from a southern family and so the one thing I look forward to is cornbread dressing and broccoli cheese casserole at our family reunions. Not to mention the seemingly endless deserts everyone brings! It was very difficult at times trying to make my family understand what I was doing (atkins) and why I couldn't have those things. It was more frustrating making my grandmother realize that I COULD NOT have dinner at her house the night they were having chips and sandwiches as something quick and easy. I went to town to get a salad each night. And on the day of my reunion I had sliced tomatoes, ham, brisket, 2 deviled eggs, and some broccoli with cheese melted over it. I was more than proud of myself for sticking to my guns. But, over the period of time I was gone I had to consume alot of high sodium things when there was no other alternative....hotdogs and lunch meat, pepperoni, cheeses, and there were no vegetables to speak of basically the whole time. I couldn't be happier to be home.

            Now, on to mention a few cheats: My final night in MS I had a glass of wine with my grandmother. My first night home I was starving and the house was EMPTY! Unfortunately my hubby didn't prepare for my return. This led me to snack on some cheese crisps which I spread a light coating of peanut butter on. Yes, I know wine and peanut butter are allowed in the upper rungs of OWL and I haven't technically moved on to OWL yet. But, there has to be exceptions once in a while.

            The big cheat: Yesterday I went to a mexican restaurant and nothing I ate was lowcarb. I am ok with it. I have been going strong for 5 weeks now and I fully aknowledge that there will be times in which I slip. I did everything I had to do during my whole vacation and came through triumphantly. I think I deserved a little slip.

            Dinner was right back to plan last night having filet mignon, sliced tomato, and jalepeno peppers stuffed w/ cream cheese & italian sausage, and wrapped in bacon. It was wonderful!

            My month in measurements are slightly lower than my 2 week measurements and my weight is bouncing between 235 and 237. Onward ho I go!

              Divadevilsmom: Oh my you did so well with sticking to Plan..and I agree there are times where we just have to break out and have something off plan. This way a one meal off plan and back on knowing we have to do a few extra days of Induction to get back to where we were is our punishment.
              the main thing is not to make a habit of it and know that we will pay dearly the next day for it...
              Nothing like having to lose the same pounds over and over again to set us straight again

                Hello all,

                Im here and on plan still. I moved upto rung 2 today, so added a little more cheese. I went shopping today planning on buying some yogurt, but all the plain ones came in massive pots, which i didnt want to buy in case i dont like them, now i will have to hunt around for the smaller regular sized pots.
                For dinner we just had Lindas GREEN "ENCHILADA" CHICKEN CASSEROLE Linda's Low Carb Menus & Recipes

                It was to die for! I will be making this again, i have some left over for lunch tomorrow, i cant wait!! it was yuuummmmy!

                    Well good evening.. I am mad as you know what at work....I hate when people change my schedule and don't tell me or ASK me...especially when you are giving a schedule a month in advance.. I am now working 7 days opposite of my daughter..and that makes me so mad.. So mad that I am fighting anger having to resist wanting to eat junk food.. UGH...

                      oH Sandy hang in there..just because they messed you up doesn't mean you have to as well..Who would lose if you did that..not them..they don't care. we do!!!! You are doing this for you not them so don't let them make you go off plan...Fight it

                        I didn't eat the junk food that I wanted.. I did have a couple of taco shells with my taco salad..but believe me I was craving a whole lot more then that...

                          Don't do it Donna. Resist!!!!! It won't be worth it and then you'll only be doubly mad.

                          Hi everyone! I'm doing good. Feeling like I'm retaining water, yet the scale says 190.0 exactly... so down a few more ounces. good. I'm not hungry... been on the internet all day talking with recruit parents about our sons and gleaning all the info I can about what's happening with him. I feel obsessed... I forget to eat. It's 2pm and I haven't had breakfast! oh dear! Will go make scrambled eggs and salsa right now.

                          Missing my kids, but enjoying the quietness... it's hot here today... feeling unmotivated to do anything but facebook and etc...

                          Will get my workout in, go to the library, clean house right after I eat breakfast NOW!
